The assload of organizational leaks also are not a good look for the Mets.

Wilpons will not approve a trade of Noah
Posted on 7/25/19 at 9:51 pm to tduecen
We've seen everything on Twitter about Thor today. They are shopping him.

One recently mentioned they are, but many executives aren't sure Wilpon will approve

"Aren't sure" about a weird ownership group is not a surprising piece of info. We saw this with the Orioles before. But they are shopping him, and the owners would shut it down if they weren't willing to trade him.

The Wilpon angle is just trying to up the ante
As I said, I’m undecided on what is best, but DeAngelos probably saved us from a LH guy who would have likely been a mistake

A fewof the the trade bait pitchers have been doing well lately.

@ChrisCarlin
.@Joelsherman1 suggests the #Mets are hesitant to deal Syndergaard or Diaz to teams like the #Yankees or #Astros because they're more advanced analytically, and they could "flourish" for those teams
In other words, "Those teams are smarter than us."
How can Syndergaard's agent not be livid at a rumor like this?
Arent Hunch and the Mets GM Van Wagenen really good friends?
AJ was at Van Wagenen's wedding...and I know this because he talked about it in an Astros pregame interview. Said he met Neil Armstrong at Van Wagenen's wedding because he was marrying and Armstrong relative or something. Came up because of the moon landing anniversary.

All true, and the Mets are a complete shitshow. Wanna know what makes all of that even funnier? Van Wagenen used to be Thor's agent.

Yeah, I’m just coming to terms w Noah Syndergaard, Astros #2 at this point
The Rangers are actually good for something aside from losing. Crippling the A’s as we speak
Maybe we could suggest Gurriel’s hamate specialist to them for Gallo
I would hate to see them w/o him in the lineup

Ex-Astro missed the memo on carrying mask while fielding pop steps from the mound. LMAO

A's didn't even score on that gift. Sad!

It’s Astros vs Yankees, winner takes on Dodgers
They all know it
Going through the motions

Lost in all this trade talk is that the Astros' divisional deficit is down to -8 games.

Man theres times where it feels like everything is going so well but then you see that number and it brings you back down to earth

I guess b/c I follow the AL more since the Astros move, MLB just has an NBA feel to it when it comes to the regular season.
It doesn’t help that the Astros take it to the extreme, resting starters daily. Look how many injuries teams like Yankees and Astros have had, but still running away. Astros had to slump with A’s streaking just to get where they’re at now.
There’s always a surprise team like the Twins,
but even teams like the Indians, who are catching them, are being discussed as sellers. Pretty much 2 teams in each league with a chance to win the pennant.

That kinda sounded like I was complaining, but honestly, as long as the 4 teams includes the Astros, it’s just an observation. LOL
