I can't stop laughing at the short-sightedness of this statement.
I haven't listened to Rush in a decade, since I got out of sales. But I know he has a massive, massive audience.
A little research shows that Rush has about 16 million listeners per week, for a 2-3 hour show. CNN only averages a little over 700K viewers per 24 hr day.
So Rush has over 3x as many followers as CNN on a daily basis , in 12% of the broadcast time

I just traded all of my George Will books in the other day at a used book store, along with all of my Glenn Beck books and some others. Got 50 cents each for them. Bought a Sean Carroll book on physics with the money.
