I’m most scared of teams who play like they have nothing to lose. The Troy States, the LA Techs, etc. They come in realizing they are an underdog and just let it rip. I feel like we play super scared against Alabama. I obviously don’t mean we should play careless, but we take ZERO chances. Les used to take chances all the time and then cut it off cold turkey towards the end of his career. Crazy how that has stuck with the program

Ohhh, the coaching staff in the off-season saying "things 'bout to change!" That's new.

How about they actually deliver?

You should start watching LSU football.

Or if you do watch football and thought Matt Canada ran the same offense as Cam Cameron, you should quit watching LSU football.

LSU took more snaps from the shotgun last season than any year in the history of the program.

But yeah, you probably don't notice things like that and want the coaching staff to deliver on the "things 'bout to change!".

What do you people do during football season? Geaux into a four month coma.

First off, let's be honest instead of cherry-picking statistics. Shepard didn't exclusively catch passes.
You said it benefitted Gonzo having 4 future NFL WRs on the team and then compared it to 4 current WRs.

quote:

2009 - 50 touches for 311 yards, 2 TDs
2010 - 65 touches for 480 yards, 3 TDs
2011 - 21 touches for 242 yards, 4 TDs
2012 - 26 touches for 253 yards, 1 TD

That is not impressive

This is because the running game wasn't that good.....

When I see a more explosive offense ill believe it......

They finished worse than any other team ranked in the top 10 in YPG... That's not an improvement...........

Better hope Cregg starts earning his pay because if not it will be another 3 loss regular season at least.

Yeah there is no doubt the 2016/2017/201 offenses were fundamentally different

But results wise relatively similar.

But it was pretty obvious Fisher Crowton and scam ran different offenses.

Ultimately I think O has shown he is willing to make changes and I am excites for this season

Not sure why you bother mentioning that. Are you saying it didn't help that we had NFL talent at the position? Are you saying we don't have NFL talent at the position currently?

Think what you want. He was playing behind Brandon Lafell, Reuben Randle, Odell Beckham, and Jarvis Landry while catching passes from Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee.

As an aside, James Wright, who was also on that team, was still playing pro ball up until two months ago. Kudos to him.

I quoted your idiotic statement. How did I draw a "strawmen"?

This is what you said:

I just pointed out how different Matt Canada's and the 2018 offenses were and how you obviously either don't watch football, don't know shite about football and/or are just talking out your arse about shite you don't understand at all.

Sorry man, no stawman at all.

Very confident. Not many QBs who never took any significant snaps under C since middle school would come in so quickly and win games. Now he’s settled in and the offesne is finally gonna be Tailored to his strengths. I see him throwing for 3k and running for 5-600 yds.

The coaches didn’t want him running in that game.
Myles was hurt, so if Burrow got injured we would have had ZERO chance.

The coaches didn't allow us to win that game. It's the same shite. We were running playaction with a guy not familiar with playing under center. With a run game that was non existent in that game, and ots that can't pass block. It was pitiful. And I don't think Orgeron should get excused for this.
