Just learned about the 1868 Democratic National Convention in NYC - whoa.

The motto for the convention was: "This is a White Man's Country, Let White Men Rule"
Jesus. Coupled with founding the Ku Klux Klan, negotiating the Three-Fifths Compromise, being pro-segregation, and being pro-slavery; I'm so happy I decided to stop affiliating myself with the Democratic Party. And of course, they've never apologized for this!
Very racist history. If we are taking down Confederate monuments, the Democratic Party as an institution should be dissolved too.

It's not politically correct to say this, but any group of individuals (race, gender, wealth, beliefs, etc.) naturally want their kind to stay on top.
Naive libbies don't realize if they moved to Africa or any other country that is dominated by a certain race, that race would work to keep them up and the libbie down.
It is human nature to be protective of your group and wary of others.
