Who will be the 2 inactive each night?

Some people are thinking Hayes won't spend much time in the GLeague this year, I think some of you haven't realized just how much depth this team has compared to previous years. I don't see Hayes and maybe even NAW getting significant minutes to develop unless it's with the Bayhawks.
You can only have 13 active players each game. Below is the current roster. I assume Moore/Wood get traded or at the very least Wood gets cut, but whoever Moore gets traded for will surely be good enough to be on the active roster every night.
Looking at the depth chart, I think it will be a position battle between Okafor/Hayes, Hart/Miller and Jackson/NAW to be on the active roster each night. For the first half of the season at least I'd expect the rookies to lose those battles and be better off getting experience in the GLeague.
1 ) Lonzo
2 ) Jrue
3 ) Ingram
4 ) Zion
5 ) Favors
6 ) Redick
7 ) Melli
8 ) Moore
9 ) Kenrich
10) Hart
11) Jackson
12) Okafor
13) Wood
14) Miller
15) NAW
16) Hayes

Wood, Jackson, Kenrich
You absolutely must give NAW and Hayes minutes

dear god look at it. look at it
i honestly dont think Hayes and NAW will be inactive. If they arent going to play they will be given reps in the GLeague. They are only on the roster if they intend to play.

They changed this rule to 13

I give Hayes 2-3 months before he takes Okafor's minutes. NAW has to be on this roster too.
Wood is gone
Hayes, NAW, Kenrich are inactive
Trade deadline, Moore and Jackson are moved
Hays takes Okafor's minutes, Okafor goes inactive
NAW takes Jackson's spot

After listening to Griffins interview today I don’t think he believes Hayes is NBA ready in the strength department. I’m sure he will get some minutes but not a lot.

I can't see NAW and Hayes being sent to the G league. I think both will get their minutes and will be big contributors on this team.

Who am I to say griff is wrong but that kid was the best player on the court

I think the most least talked player and biggest questionmark this off-season is Nicolo Melli, I mean can we justify playing him over Okafor or Hayes? I would like to have a big men rotation of Hayes, Zion, Oak, and Favors. But then again Langdon has demonstrated he's a scouting prodigy so I might be wrong to doubt him.

1) 13 active doesn't mean 13 play. Even in the regular season most teams don't play all 13 guys every night. It's usually more like 9-10.
2) That's supposed to be one of the benefits of owning your own GLeague team, so you can control the coaching and have the team focus on developing your guys.
Again, what I don't think a lot of you are processing is just how deep this team has become. It's no longer 2-3 bad contracts and a few Journeyman GLeaguers rounding out spots 10-15.
The team is very high on Jackson, why would they play NAW over him from the start? The same can be said of Okafor/Hayes. Griffin has also been very specific about the culture setting veterans need to also be good enough to earn minutes. I just don't see how Hayes and NAW start the season getting minutes for the Pels when we have a GLeague team and they want to see what they have in some of these other players.

On Griffin's SiriusXM interview today he mentioned Redick and Melli as spacers for the team. I was surprised by this, he didn't even mention Hart or Miller in this context. He also said that Melli is good at the dribble hand off plays they like to run. That says to me they have high expectations for him which is why I listed him there in the rotation.

Well said ATL. Agree with all of that.
And while last night was fricking awesome, it was just one game. A summer league game.
Would not shock me at all if some of the rookies had some stints in the G league. You don’t get better by sitting, you get better by playing. And the minutes might not be there.

Williams ain’t making the team, the other guy would probably be Okafor or Wood. Unlesss Melli is garbage

Kenrich is really showing the difference between summer league and the NBA imo.
TBH Kenrich hasn't jumped off the page, so to speak, in any of the SL games. But we KNOW what he's capable of against actual NBA competition.
Like Kenrich has shown some ability and has competed at a solid level against real NBA players night in and night out last season.
But in SUMMER LEAGUE, the casual observer would probably look at him like just another warm body out there.
Just an interesting observation. It's certainly not a rule, but there have been COUNTLESS SL stars that either don't ever make the big leagues or if they do, they don't even get minutes on a bad team; while some guys that look ho-hum or downright bad end up being solid/good NBA players. shite, the guy who had a strong case for ROY last season was a joke for much of the summer league.
All that said, it's the summer league. I'm just as hyped as everyone else, but I would be surprised to see Hayes, Didi or NAW get significant minutes at any point next season. And that's ok.

I don’t get the hype for Kenrich on here. I know he started off really hot for us but he wound up shooting pretty damn awful for the entirety of the year. 3 point wasn’t anything great either. I know people like his efffort but with a squad that has this much talent and high character, hustle won’t be enough.

Didi is getting zero minutes this season. He is going to play in Australia for at least one season.
