n 2019:
1) Burrow will at 68%+ completions. 70%+ is not unlikely
2) He'll throw for 3500+ yards. 4000+ is not unlikely
3) He'll have a 5 to 1 or better TD to INT ratio.
4) His team will contend for the playoffs.

Burrow will be one of the first 5 QBs picked in the 2020 NFL draft
I'd love for each of those to happen, but I'm pretty sure none of them will.

I expect better numbers than last year, but your ones above are bordering on delusional.

The upper limiits of what he's suggesting are 4000+ yards, 70%+ completion percentage, and I'm guessing 40 TDs to 8 Ints, in the SEC?

That's like #1 pick overall type numbers.

If he played like that and we only "contended" for the playoffs, something went horribly wrong. We should go undefeated with QB play like that.

Yeah, maybe in the Big 12, but that's not happening in the SEC. Even Tua who was on pace to have one of the most prolific seasons in CFB history fell just short of those numbers.

Just look at how fluent the Bama offense runs.... And he still couldn't hit those numbers... Now IF he played every game the whole game than maybe........

"His" as in belonging to a group. Not "His" as the team belonging to him. Words have various nuanced meanings. Open a dictionary.

There were 2 Tua's last season. Before his knee/leg injuries, and after. Tua was at a 75% completion rate before he was injured in the Arkansas game. Also had 16 TDs and 0 INTs in those 6 games.

He had some good games later, but re-injuries and new injuries kept him from maintaining his early-season form

At 6'4 and 216 he has prototypical size. He has above average arm strength and good mobility. He has shown mental toughness and leadership qualities. He is competing in the toughest conference in CFB. His mechanics are sound and he has shown the ability to perform under duress.

Very similar to Joe Flacco.

My statement and Burrow's are not mutually exclusive. You may actually be too damned illiterate to converse with.

It's almost like it's really tough playing a full season in the SEC.

Buckeye hasn’t quit figured out yet that SEC defenses tend to be a little better than rent a win defenses lol.

True and as I posted in another thread he also played better defenses in the latter half of the season and against the good ones (LSU, Miss St, UGA, Clemson) he dropped to 6 TDs/6INTs and 58% completion. So injuries probably hindered him, but he faced tougher D's as well.

I can see Burrow making a big jump with the experience around him, better talent and a better scheme, but those numbers are extremely ambitious and by opening up the offense there will be growing pains and greater risk of negative plays. Plus, no matter how confident we are in our talent, fear of game changing mistakes will likely still persist with this staff and we will still lean on a run game with some very talented RBs.

he may carry a clipboard and get a check for a season or two but I don't think his future, as a player, is in the NFL

You'll just blame it on the rest of the team. Exactly like you did when your "Burrow is better than Haskins" proclamations blew up in your face.
