It’s 8:50am and I’ve already received 4 telemarking calls...

Is there a ‘do not call list’ that actually works? All of these have been robocalls so there is no way to bitch someone out. One came at 3:50am and woke my whole family up.

I get them on my cell and my work phone all damn day. At this point I'd say that I probably answer 5% of the calls I get.

It's not going to stop until phone providers block the ability to spoof numbers. Email providers did this a long time ago. It would be easy for phone companies to do the same.

How did it wake your whole family up, was it a call to your landline?

Hello, BabyTac, and thank you for your inquiry! Please, give us thirty eight minutes to look up the answer to your question. While you wait, would you be interested in purchasing some expired bagel bites? Only 2 dollars per pound!

Disconnect the call (kill it, not ignore or send to voicemail). Do this a few times and the computer on the other end will mark your number off.

Problem is they have lobbyist preventing the blocking of spoof numbers.
So basically...we fricked. I'm in sales to. I have to answer every call I get assuming it's a customer. It is infuriating how often I get these fricking calls.

I've resorted to never answering a call from someone I don't know. Don't do it on my personal phone, and don't do it on my work phone (probably dumb). My house phone stays unplugged, but I keep it connected b/c Cox gives me a combo deal.
As long as politicians employ robocalling companies, it's not gonna change. What I'm saying is there's zero chance it ever changes

That list is basically Santa Clause. Some folks get a little piece of mind by reporting violators, but our law enforcement is impotent regarding overseas robocalls.
I much preferred the old late 20th century land-line setup: the connection was crystal clear and Caller-ID worked. The current setup is garbage.

You know there's a Do Not Disturb option on your cell phone right?
Just leave it on 24/7

Get a new phone number. Ik it’s not practical but I was forced to recently and mine went from 10 to 1 a day

I have the att call protect app
Most calls it blocks. Some it lets through and labels as suspected spam, but that is rare

Yeah, I get a lot of them too. I make it a habit of not answering any call that is a number not in my phonebook that pops up with a name.
If it is an important call, say from a Dr. about an appointment, they'll leave a voicemail.
So much for the National Do Not Call thing----it's a fricking joke.

The only thing that sort of works for me is not answering any calls that I don't know who is calling. I figure anyone else will leave me a voice mail if they are not telemarketers. I know if I answer one telemarketer call, several more will come within the hour.

It’s 6:25 pm and I haven’t received one.

They keep calling me to try to get me to buy a vehicle extended warranty.
Three times today they hung up when I tried to get a warranty for my
1978 Ford Pinto.
1982 Ford Granada
1976 AMC Pacer.
They called me at least they should sell me a warranty for one of my vehicles.

I’ve been using RoboKiller for the last two months. Cost me $30 a year but my telemarketing calls have dropped to zero lately.
