Nexstar seems to like doing this. A couple of years back, they were fighting with Cox Cable and threatening not to show the Super Bowl if it wasn't settled.

They do this specifically for big events because the provider gets the hate instead of them. Nexstar isn’t a household name. But this is all them.

Exactly. It’s Nexstar’s fault, not the provider. They want more cash and if ATT gives in they have to raise prices which customers then bitch about.
