That’s nuts. They said on 104.5 that he was expected to make a full recovery

I know. He had to have a second surgery at Oschners in NOLA. Family says he’s in critical condition.

Man that sucks. I use to work with his twin brother at the Rec in Crowley when I was first
Out of High school. I met with Tony a lot he is a good man. Always cared about teaching the kids how to play the game the right way.

I don’t think it’s extremely uncommon to have a second surgery after heart surgery. Prayers for a full recovery. I’ve seen it first hand and it’s not easy but totally possible for a full recovery.

He had 2 stints placed and they discovered a small hole that they have repaired, at least that’s what I have heard. The surgery was apparently successful but his heart was really damaged and it appears to be closer to a massive heart attack than a minor one that was originally reported.

Prayers to Coach Robe and his family. “Palm trees sway in the wind. They bend but don’t break.”

Wouldn't blame Robe if he called it a very successful career and opted for a less stressful life style with his family but I don't see him as the type to let a heart attack dictate when he walks away from the game.

If he had open heart surgery, he didn’t have stents placed. They bypassed the blockages with grafts. Now he might have had stents placed and they are reporting open heart surgery incorrectly.

It’s not uncommon to have a second surgery after open heart surgery for various reasons. I worked with open heart surgery patients for 8 years and it’s amazing the weird stuff that happens after surgery. Thoughts and prayers for him & his family and a speedy recovery.

I do not know what was originally done with the first surgery, but I was told the 2nd surgery is what I posted above.

Either way, he isn’t in good shape.

I have the opinion that it would be the worst thing to do. His entire life has been baseball and that probably keeps him young and active. He’s still young and he is ULL baseball. I love picking on the Cajuns but it’s impressive what here’s done there and probably had chances to leave but stayed which is respectable.

Damn, haven't been listening to Lafayette sports radio lately, so had no idea he had a heart attack.

Hope he makes a full recovery. Would hate to see a guy that has been so successful have to call it quits for health reasons.
