I always thought the Arena was fine until I started visiting other places a few years ago.
It’s not good lol, I wouldn’t say it’s amateur hour compared to others but it isn’t far off.

Like a lot of journalist have said, it looks like the beaten up red headed step child next to the super dome. And now the top is being painted red which makes it even more fittting

I mean does it still not? I know they added some lights and a little flare but the meat and potatoes of the arena is laughable

They need to move City Hall into old Charity, then build a new arena at that site on Poydras. I can dream can’t I?

Major SMK upgrades are already in the initial planning stages but you won’t hear much about it until the dome renovation is completed.

I don’t have much in the way of details aside from the major work will be announced not too long after the Super Dome upgrades are completed. Some of the more minor stuff like the team locker room and medical equipment will possibly be done before the start of this season.

I don’t think it’s going to stay red. The SKC had some roof leaking issues the past few years and I think the red is the new waterproof coating.
