Smoothie King Foam Cup Test

So Baton Rouge is a test market for a new Vio Foam Bio Degradable Foam Cup. Test starts this week. Many franchisees have fought hard to convince corporate to bring back a better option to the shi**y plastic cup!

Why is the plastic cup shitty?

Don't mind Vio cups. Only issue I find is that cold water will make them 'sweat'.
Not sure how a smoothie acts in them.

Smoothie doesn’t hold up. Sweats all over my desk. Can’t do large office runs for co workers because by the time you get back all their smoothies are melted.

Yeah, the plastic cups don’t keep the smoothies frozen very long in Louisiana heat. It’s slush within about 10 minutes. Liquid within 15 minutes.

Why doesn’t smoothie king come out with there own yeti type container that fits each one of the sizes. Then when you bring it back to be used a discount or additional points would be given.
I hate the new plastic cups and don’t really care about the styrofoam but understand the environmentalist.
Time for an approved SK tumbler to be reused each time.

That's a great idea. I have some connections there and will pass that along.

Beautiful. I hate when I get stuck in line behind someone doing a big office order.
"Karen wants a large Tropical Mist with exactly two blueberries and uhhhhh..."

Good, smoothie king really fricked up on the new cups. I haven’t gone back since I got my first one and it was sweating all over everything, and stayed cold for less than half as long as it used to. I used to get a large and sip on it for hours. Now it might last an hour

Once I bought the vita mix solo cup attachment I stopped going to SK. Make my own.

Ever tried to clean >10 minute smoothie from a cup?

If you fill up the cup right after you make the drink with water and let it sit and all comes off the sides or simply use the spray nozzle, Never an issue.you. An also buy a cylindrical brush to clean the inside.

Stopped by my local SK and was pleasantly surprised when I was handed the "eco foam" cup. We will consider this the "New Coke" moment for SK and move on.

Foam cups are everywhere again in BR. I asked a manager how’s the test going, and they claimed 95% of guests ask for the foam. Plastic was such a terrible decision by the big wigs at corporate.

The plastic has been in Bham for a while. My smoothie never makes it long enough to be a problem.
