Believed to be the 3rd highest senior sign bonus this year.

Suck it Mangum.

ETA: This is per Jim Callis of MLB.com on twitter. I added the suck it Mangum part.

Seriously that sucks for people that want to play their senior year.

I feel like those that brag about what money they make... actually make about half of that. But P&G... the fries at your McDonalds location are the best.

This, & isn’t this just the signing bonus? A 21 year old kid made his salary in a day & the guy’s bragging. Congrats?

God you really are a scumbag

Why can’t you just be happy for the kid? No need for you to belittle him.

If you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all

It’s crazy how much of a difference there is between HS/junior signing bonuses and senior ones. Pretty crazy that he’s walking away with probably $50k after taxes, agent fees if he hired one, etc. while the third highest underclassmen is walking away a millionaire

In layman’s terms, teams have a certain allotment of money they can spend on drafted players. If picks choose not to sign, teams have more money left. I assume that’s what happened with Duplantis

For a senior it's pretty good. Kramer and Scivique beat it but it's not all that common to get more than 100k.

BTW, Kramer is starting to do pretty well in AAA. He was called up to AAA due to injuries above him, but he's playing his way into staying there after guys get healthy.

The exact opposite. Teams lose the pool money associated with a top ten round pick if he doesn’t sign. It’s when he does sign and signs under slot that they have more money to spend.

Both he and Freeman signed for 150k.

That's his Signing Bonus only, correct?

What's his total compensation plan?
