Deveney:

Sources say the Pelicans, in addition to the Rockets, are among several teams intending to pursue free-agent Kevon Looney. He's only 23 and could be a good fit with Zion Williamson.

BUT the Warriors are hoping to lock up Looney quickly, I'm told

I would rather fill the roster with smart players that fit needs instead of signing a Tobias or Horford.

It seems like Griff is keeping all options open right now. Ultimately I think thats the direction were going to go though.

Why would y’all want him? Can’t shoot 3s or space the floor. What’s the point of Jah then at this point. Might as well just get rid of him

How much is Looney going to cost? That's my question.

I think we can sign and use two more bigs, and only one of them really needs to be able to shoot 3s. But, in that case, Looney needs to be cheap enough for us to still get someone like Mirotic.

He's a really good defender who is fine on a switch against a wing. He's just a solid basketball player. All Warriors fans and reporters want him back.

They have a ton of shooting. Looney there makes more sense.

Agreed, he’ll back up Zion, great character/ locker room guy, plays great D and I doubt he’ll cost much at all. It seems griffin really wants to blow our cap load on an older big man, so this will be a good depth signing, and if he’s asking for more than what they’re willing to give than we just won’t sign him.

It sounds like several teams are pursuing him and the Warriors want to keep him and have his bird rights (as far as I know).

He may get paid more than you think.

Jesus christ. I know you want character, defense, and length Griff...but at some point we've got to get some damn shooting on the roster.

I jus want a bad contract that lasts 2-3 years for a future asset that may come up Golden a few years down the line when we really ready to compete. That’s the nest use of the cap space...

I just how many of these rumors are Griffin blowing smoke to bid up the price on other bigs and confuse everyone about what we're really doing.

He is a bad arse and hard nose defensive and rebounding player who can bring real inside toughness and some adequate inside offense. Get him.

The Pels are in play for basically anybody that's not the first tier or 2

Virtually impossible to guess

At that price I'd agree he's not worth signing.
