LSU and the concession vendor would be shocked how much they would sell if they did the same thing at LSU venues
End of 1st quarter: Sorry we're sold out of everything but Vegetarian Jambalaya

ULL concessions blow LSU out of the water. Constantly amazed at the missed opportunity LSU gives away for good ole boy contracts.

Even if I concede iPhones are priced too high, does "usually" mean something different to you?

LSU has to have the worst concessions in the country. It rivals that of a local high school and a bad one at that.
If LSU did it right they could make a killing at their concessions.
Boudin Balls with a Dip, that's good stuff. Much Better then that Pizza in a Cone sitting under heat lamps.

Yeah..I'm sure the demand for going to ULL games is the same as LSU games
Let's not act like ULL is only drawing a couple hundred fans. They've been in the top 10 nationally for average attendance the last few years.
I'd say their park is about 80% full for most games.

That scenario mostly works for manufacturers. It would be one thing if LSU was creating the product. They buy it from the manufacturer & mark it up. In their scenario, the high demand of concessions is just a reason to increase prices. They know people will buy it anyways.

Seriously, if they sold the concessions at reasonable prices, especially now that they will be able to sell beer, they would make more or at least remain revenue neutral and would likely keep more fans in the stadium beyond halftime. They would need to improve the service as well, lines can be terrible as it is, increased volume would make it much worse (obviosly).
And, again, scrap Aramark and expand the number of outside vendors. PLEASE bring back City Pork! Those pulled pork nachos for $10 were worth every penny.

Wut
According to the NCAA attendance record, ULL average 4835 and has a capacity of 6033. That's 80%.

That's baseball. The article is referencing their football stadium

Louisiana Athletics will roll out a new fan-friendly concessions menu for the 2019-20 Ragin' Cajuns athletic calendar, highlighted by hot dogs, popcorn and potato chips available for $1 each to all fans at Cajun Field. Special prices and deals, including on draft and canned beer, will be available at all home events, where applicable.

State dropped their concession prices and it wasn't due to poor ticket sales.

I understand that prices at an LSU game are going to be higher...simple demand. but can we please just have options that make Louisiana residents proud?!

Cheese Nachos, $3.00
At TS that would be one cent for each year since they were made.

I wonder how the math shakes out. What percentage of fans don't get concessions because of the price? I would imagine it is pretty high. Less profit per item might get trumped by greater sales.
Yes....
Fans will go to the stadium earlier and stay longer.
Will buy more stuff.
Atlanta has the right idea.
ULL pricing may be too cheap!

All the more reason to go for a cheaper pricing structure....
