Do you have to prove direct harm, i.e., you are harmed today because of slavery? What if you are black with no slave ancestry. Are you included?. Does harm mean poverty?. Is there an income threshold. What is you are a graduate from a college-are you then excluded? Are high income blacks excluded. What do you say to poor whites who have generationallyfailed to accumulate wealth.-what’s their excuse. Who pays? The federal government?

yep, thats where they are. they know they cant trace who should pay but they "feels" reparations must be paid. so the government will just have to hand ove 50 trillion dollars of taxpayer money for everyone of color no matter if they had any connection at all with slave ancestors or even if their ancestors were selling other blacks as slaves. to do otherwise is racist.

so simple short answer is they are talking about our tax money being given away to virtue signal when only 10% of those they want to give it to have even the slightest excuse to claim it.

African Americans are probably pretty far down on the list for freebies. The Native Americans will have to be made whole first, but how do you give them their land back?

...and do you give them, land with money and future benefits?

Do you give them just money? I'm not sure that would go over well with the five peaceful tribes.

As I said in another thread.. I'm white as frick, but one of my ancestors was a slave. In the event of reparations, I probably won't get shite because I'm white. So basically the suffering of my ancestor will be viewed as less than the suffering of other slaves, just because her descendants ended up white as frick.

In all honesty, reparations are a horrible idea.

Valid question, what’s the metrics? Is there a blood test that can be compared to an ancestorial blood sample? Or do we just go by skin pigmentation, and if so, do we get to eliminate California girls with deep tans?

Do by-racial peep get to write a check to themselves or should we now put laws into place to now keep racial purity?

Where does the ridiculous end?

It’s hard to believe that democrats will really push this idea. They need to import a lot more voters to get enough power to pass a reparations bill and not get destroyed in the next election.

Those that were slaves,
Hell extend it to grandchildren of slaves

None of them would be alive today.

doesn't anyone else find it odd that reparations was never an issue under Obama, our first black president? I think this is nothing but a big pandering stunt by the radical leftist candidates trying to secure their share of the black vote. Nothing will come of this, imo.

Have the Federal government issue checks to each known slave at the time, bury it with the deceased.

Amount? Qualifications? Calculations/Formulas? The bottom line is they want a blank check. Period. Till the end of time.

It’s the ultimate shake down.

Waters, Jackson, Jessie, Rev Al, and thousands of other middle men and politicians. They are not going to send a check to individuals. I suspect it will be like the CETA program in the 70's. The peons will get a diploma or certificate and the politicians will get the stipend.

The Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA, Pub.L. 93–203) was a United States federal law enacted by the Congress, and signed into law by President Richard Nixon December 28, 1973 to train workers and provide them with jobs in the public service.
