I hate war too.....detest it. But these guys have been killing Americans for decades. Plus they're the number one supporter of international terrorism in the world. Most of the Iranians are great people. I've met a few. But their muslim leaders are bat shite crazy. What the world doesn't need right now is a bunch of out-of-control Islamic religious fanatics sinking a couple of oil tankers and plunging the region into war.

The military-industrial complex you constantly deride is what allows you to sleep at night with the AC cranked down, and wheel around in your sporty convertible at 75 mph.
George Bush and Dick Cheney (and Johm McCain) knew that to continue American superiority, we had to have a military presence in Europe (Germany), Korea, Japan and the Middle East.
The perfect place to set up shop in the Middle East was Iraq. Topple their government and put our military there for 100 years, from which to "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran."
But no, weak Americans like you thought it was unnecessary and without that presence, all Americans could keep blowing and going. How dangerously dumb.
To the victor goes the spoils. So stop whining.

Corporations, individuals and politicians make money on wars. Of course the taxpayers don't.

Calm down, Nancy. We are going to bomb a few strategic locations, to remind the Iranians who they are screwing with. It will be entirely up to them whether it escalates from there.

I fully believe that while Trump is a big peace through strength guy and has no problem with putting the screws on our geopolitical enemies through sanctions, military power projection and other economic and methods of cyber warfare, the President, behind the scenes, is still absolutely hell bent on stopping a hot, boots on the ground, and wheels up in the air war against Iran or anywhere else in the world like NoKo and Venezuela.
Trump absolutely refuses to end up like Bush and he will do everything he can to stop it from happening while still maintaining the support of much of the GOP establishment.
