I think loot boxes are fine, if they're purely cosmetics. If they're a required purchase to remain competitive, that's pretty shitty.

I don't pay attention to it anymore, but how many loot box systems are actually pay-to-win nowadays? I figured with all the backlash that has gotten, developers are going to stick to cosmetics.

Games with cosmetic microtransactions usually have garbage art design/choice for cosmetics earned from gameplay.

Many of them, that's their money maker, people watching them unpack and play, sell, buy,etc.
