2019 NBA Mock Draft from nbadraft.net

I love this mock draft for the Pelicans...one could only wish!

R1 pick 1 - Zion Williamson (Duke)
R1 pick 4 - Darius Garland (Vandy)
R2 pick 39 - Grant Williams (Tenn)
R2 pick 57 - Tacko Fall (UCF)

Nothing needs to be said about Zion, we all know what's lurking! Garland is a master at creating his own shot and manipulating spacing on the floor. He can also spot up from just about anywhere. We've all seen Grant Williams, he is very physical and a banger we could really use in the paint. And Tacko Fall at 7'7" with an 8'2" wingspan is worth a longshot 2nd round pick. He gave Zion and Duke hell and UCF almost pulled that game off. You can't teach those measureable and he's not your typical clumsy (think Shawn Bradley) tall, lanky NBA prospect. He is actually very agile for his size and can run the floor. The dude can dunk without leaving his feet! Just my thoughts though!

I’d be extremely happy with that draft.

This is pretty much my dream draft, minus Fall.

Those are all great picks but I think the second rounders are a little lower than their projections. Grant has that dog mentality. He was fun to watch at Tennessee.

I'll be shocked if we take zero Euros. Langdon is hugely into euro talent.

I think you HAVE to take a shot at drafting him that late in the 2nd if he's still there. It's very low risk, high reward play. Most 2nd round picks don't even make a roster, so it doesn't hurt to see what he can develop into.

I see no reason why Fall can't be what Boban is. And there's some value in that 10-12 mpg.

Grant Williams in the 2nd would be great. Very high character player.

agreed

the other freakshow (Bol Bol) can lead to arguments (esp if you're saying he's in the top 15) but fall is a pure 2nd round flyer guy. there's no downside

I see Fall as a problem waiting to happen due to his size. BUT. At 57th overall, may as well take a chance.

How does he compare to say, Gheorghe Muresan?

Washington got 4 good seasons out of him before his body broke down including 3 as a starter. 7’7”, 303.

Eta: Was drafted 30th overall, fwiw.

Disagree. For me, The real draft starts @4. I’m more interested to see how well they make picks that aren’t consensus picks. How they use their picks and who they draft will tell us a lot about their ability to build through the draft.

Yea I think if Bol Bol was healthy he’d be a top 5 pick. Surprised to see him slide so much, i’d LOVE to draft him. Shoots 3s, moves well, blocks shots, he’s like a thinner Embiid.

After Carsen Edwards amazing tourney run surprised to see him drop too. I think he will have a good pro career. He can create his own shot and make buckets consistently.

There’s no reason to draft Fall. He’s not good. He’s just 7’6 oaf. No athleticism, no endurance, agility, anything. He’s just freakishly tall.

We need shooters, not someone who wouldn’t be able to run and gun down the floor and back. 0% chance Fall is our pick

Grant Williams would immediately improve the Pels flop game.
