Went out to dinner last night with the wife and were sitting out on the patio having some drinks and were disturbed by a group of kids running around screaming. After waiting for almost 15 min for the parents to do the polite thing and intervene I look over to them and they could care less just having some drinks.
At this point I’d probably had about 5 beers and I just lost it. Screaming at these kids to have some respect for other people at the restaurant and to go sit with their parents. Kids were about 5-8 and were really upset about the whole thing. My wife was supper embarrassed and we quickly finished and left. Woke up on the coach this morning feeling terrible about the whole thing. OT.. help me out

Nah, dont feel terrible. Kids are coddled too much these days. A good yelling by a stranger wont hurt them.

Too much of a puss to go off on the parents, huh?

Bait isn’t quite shiny enough. Your snake thread was the best. Aren’t you also the one who started the eating a seagull thread? Two of the better troll threads on this site IMO

Your outburst was warranted but not necessary. Parents should control their spawn.

I’ve done this at Ichiban before and I felt great after. Parents of kids like that never fail to be pussies

Should’ve yelled at the fricking parents for letting their kids act a fool.

Undisciplined kids with shitty parents suck. You did the right thing.

As much as i felt your pain(kids screaming, etc), you should of politely asked their parents if they could do something.
trust me, hell for me would be stuck in an airplane and it's all families and every child is running up and down the aisles screaming and kicking my seat.
But, yelling at them, does make you become the dick.

Pretty terrible on your part. You screamed at the kids instead of talking to the parents, who you knew were nearby.

I’m sorry that Tdsngumbo was posting 67 babe pics on here instead of watching his offspring.

If I was their parents, you would’ve caught hell from me. I understand where you’re coming from, but those kids aren’t yours and you have 0 right to be a dick. Especially since they were so young. Yes the parents should’ve handled it, but if it bothers you that much, just finish your drink and go somewhere else...

frick that noise. Why should he be forced to leave a restaurant or bar he enjoys because some parents can’t control their shithead offspring?

Only way I believe this happened is if the children were transgendered.
These children were straight?

You’re the problem.. if you spent more time teach little dax about self discipline instead of discipline at the plate you wouldn’t have these problem

But what gives him the right to yell at them? I don’t know. Just something I wouldn’t have done. I do agree that the parents should control their kids though. There are a lot of people who Should not have offspring.

I would have no issue with your addressing the kids, but screaming at them was out of line. A child is already going to be jarred by an adult they don't know addressing them. Calmly asking if they would please stop likely would have scared the shite out of them. If that doesn't work, go speak to the parents like an adult. No need to scream at them, either.
Next time, address the problem more quickly. The issue you created for yourself was that you waited until you got so angry that you lost control. Had you acted sooner, you likely wouldn't have behaved the way that you did.
