I would not be mad at a lot of the trades I have seen tossed around but that one would be awful. Lavine is not the type of player we need then we don’t even get the best prospect or pick from the lakers.

Yea but they have to be willing to part with him....and Id imagine theyre not for Lonzo and #4

This has to be leaked from Pels people in order to pressure Boston to quit dicking around, right?

It’s leaked by a redditor on the Lakers subreddit who apparently has the approval of the mods and showed some legitimacy. It’s probably not true, but the news leaking is def not from us

What would the logic be? LA is making crappy offers so you better give us what we want?

In theory, we just have to convince Ainge we think an LA offer is more enticing than Boston’s, regardless of whether that’s true.

IDK. I’m admittedly guessing here.

The only other thing I can think of that makes sense is just clickbait writers writing clickbait articles for clicks, and that they don’t know any more than we do.

At this point I suspect the Lakers are leaking a bunch of awful deals without Ingram so that when the Pels come out and trade him elsewhere the Lakers can save face and say they weren't giving in to unrealistic demands

Gross. Lavine is overpaid and no Ingram from LA is 100% a deal breaker. Maybe Swap Kuz for Ingram and the bulls throw in another sweetener or swap lavine for Carter and I'd consider it. Plus I'd need another 1st from LA.

Lakers get: AD

Bulls get: Lonzo, Solomon Hill and our #4 pick

We either trust Griffin/Langdon to be different and smart or we dont.

if they make this trade or something like it we will officially know they arent.

I would be so pissed if we include Hill in this deal. As if that’s some positive we’re letting ourselves get less in return for. Just let hill expire.

Kuzma and Lavine are the same fricking player. And Kuzma is a huge douche

Huh? None of this makes any sense. Why is dumping Hill in a trade and eliminating paying him $12.5 million to ride the bench this year worse than letting him sit all year just to expire?

Lavine is the typical good stats on a bad team guy. He will take the ball out of Jrue and Zions hands too much.

it blows me away CJ McCollum could be loved yet Lavine is hated on.

Because we'd have to take a worse return for AD just to get Hill off the books, despite the fact that we likely won't be trying to make a big splash in FA.

And Lavine doesn’t come across to me as a deep playoff type player. You look at a lot of these teams in the finals and it’s a lot of mature, smart, team player type of players who play great defense. I don’t know or watch Lavine a lot but he doesn’t seem like that kind of player. Could be wrong

yep. Lavine betters McCollum in a lot of categories as well as 4 years younger.

Bc we aren’t going to be big players in FA this year. The last year of an expiring deal is the most valuable. I mean if we could just waive him then sure.

But allowing a team to convince us that “taking him” this year in lieu of giving us an asset is a good deal would be incredibly shortsighted.

If he had 4 years on the deal? Sure

Lavine cannot hold a candle to McCollum. He does have the advantage of being younger, but that is about it. He put up nice stats last year on a very bad team. His defense is terrible.
