Well yeah, the Bible.

It does NOT say we are to know about Death.

If you believe you never die so there's that

That’s what it’s gonna be like.

I’m sorry, but I don’t. So I ask you again. How do you know you cease to exist when you die? What evidence do you base your opinion (it is still just your opinion in case you didn’t realize) on that you know for a fact we cease to exist after we die?

I’ll ask you the same question I asked the other guy...
How do you know?
(I love when I ask people questions they can’t answer so they just downvote my post instead. Tells me I rustled their jimmies)

We have a very shallow surface level understanding of consciousness.Scientists know about as much about the universe as they do consciousness. We have no idea where consciousness and awareness comes from, what circumstances are necessary for it to exist, where it can exist...pretty much every substantial question about consciousness has no definitive answer
Push thoughts about religion and heaven and hell aside. There are more possibilities to "life" after death than battling religious philosophies

Did she become ashes, or did the box that she was cremated in become ashes?

See, this is exactly the kind of of response I fully expected but was trying to avoid.
Missed my point entirely.

Watch "The OA" on Netflix. It's about near death experiences and what happens when you die. None of it is proven or even close to factual but a good watch.

not remembering anything immediately after you die does not prove consciousness does not continue after death. There are obviously switches that can turn consciousness on and off. Additionally there are people that die that do remember things. I should see no reason why their account should be taken with more a grain of salt. Additionally complete memory is not a requirement for active consciousness. So the same thing can be said for before you were born.

I flatlined for a few minutes from internal hemorrhaging.

Is it though? I lost consciousness before I flatlined. There are other people though who have died and had very different experiences than I did. How do you account for their experiences?

Those who "come back" are required to sign a non disclosure agreement stating they saw nothing and know nothing.

A desire for greater understanding. Attention seekers. People who are afraid of the void of nothingness so they convince themselves otherwise. People looking to be “right” so they contrive something that “only they” and a few “others like them” experience so they can just say nope, you’re wrong. I saw it. With no real tangible proof of what they saw/experienced.
We came from nothing. We will return to nothing.

So you're accusing them of lying. What facts do you base your accusation on?

Sounds like you're a lawyer, but then you say
quote:
objective evidence
Seems like you mean empirical evidence. Testimony in court from a first-hand observer (the person who claims to be "brought back") would be admissible to prove the matter asserted.
What you're looking for is video or DNA evidence of an afterlife. I'm pretty sure that's unlikely, which may explain why they call religion "faith."

We’re both speculating.

It’s the most logical answer. We live. We die. The world moves on.
