California topped the list, with a net inflow of 3,597 wealthy millennials into the state. They’re also moving to Washington State, Texas, Colorado and Florida.

Why would a rich young single person want to leave NYC

And they’ll bring their shitty politics with them.

So millennials are overwhelmingly left-leaning, but when they get money they flee blue states.
They really are socialists.

Probably so they can stay rich. Or get richer.

quote:take Millennial out of that and you would be correct. The rich Liberal flees the states with liberal socialistic laws, to more conservative state, yet vote the same they did in the other place.
And they’ll bring their shitty politics with them.

Sounds like they're going to LA in a lot of these cases which is a much better place to live than NYC

Louisiana isn’t on the list

Bunch of people in NC complaining about this.
"These people flee the states due to policy and then vote for the same type of people that implement the policies they left!"

I left Illinois for Pennsylvania a little over a year ago, and will be leaving Pennsylvania for Illinois in a few months.
Am I a contributor or does that cancel out?

quote:That's what I wonder about when I see articles like this. A lot of people move to NYC for a few years when they're younger. This article is strictly inflow vs outflow. How many are "fleeing NY" and how many are just returning home?
