My 68 yo cousin who lives in Lakewood, OH - a nice burb of Cleveland - and I got on the topic of politics last night. We don’t typically do that, but I could tell he had something on his mind.

He’s a retired teacher who is also a dealer of high end musical equipment. He was a big SJW back in the late 60s & 70s which is one reason he left the south.

Anyway...he basically says that he wasn’t excited about a Trump presidency, but isn’t sad that Hillary lost. Then he went on to say that he was planning to vote for Trump due to the economy and that he doesn’t like the way democrats have reacted to Trump with their fake investigations, coup attempt, and desire ti rewrite constitutional law so that they’re guaranteed to win.

He’s feeling good because he’s selling a lot of instruments for premium prices. He said Ohio’s economy was never anything close to this under Obama.

Can anyone send him a coat?

This bodes well for Ohio in 2020.

Trump will win Ohio in 2020.

It is like the opposite of virginia. Used to a swing/lean dem state, now moving to the GOP. Repubs did very well in Ohio in 2018. Didn't lose any house seats, won governor race, popular long time incumbent dem senator sherrod brown way underperformed.

Ohio is a blue collar state that is very white.

The only issue here he is not in one of the Democrat victim classes. Assuming he is a white male Dems are not pandering to him so it makes sense that he would lean Trump besides the fact that Trump is doing a fantastic job.

I would love to hear stories like this from one of the Democrat victim groups who they pander to all the time. Like the gays, blacks, hispanics and women.

Nonetheless this is good news.

Lakewood is an awesome, awesome suburb. A lot of nurses who work at Cleveland Clinic live in Lakewood. Their bar scene is awesome and there are smoking hot women everywhere there.

I lived in Ohio for 15 years and I didn't think Trump had a chance to win there. I did my part. I think he will take Ohio next year. The Lordstown GM plant closing concerns me though.

I can’t speak about all of OH, but I saw a lot of Trump bumper stickers in Columbus and Cincinnati last year on my business trips there.

I lived in a suburb of Cleveland, even went to a very well known private HS for a year. It's a shithole.

I voted for Obama in 2008. Had a bumper sticker on my car even. My god, the Democrat party left me so far behind that I can’t wait to vote for Trump.

Yeah...In the past I have supported dems at the state & local levels. I can’t fathom a scenario in which I ever vote for another dem. Not even for sheriff.

What is Shaker Heights like? Saw that movie about it and loved those big older homes.

I'm not super familiar with Shaker, but the farther east you go in Cleveland, the shittier it gets until you get to Lake County. Euclid and East Cleveland are absolute shitholes

Yes a sample size of 1 bodes well for Ohio. You really need to do some work on basic statistics, probability, and sample size.
