A Nice Restaurant Short List

The food coming out of Parish is extremely well done. And the Latin Cafe is fantastic. Just don’t expect TexMex.

I’ll be there in mid July and was told Parish is where I’m going. Looking forward to it. Looks like a great place.

Any fish dish Cory puts out will be as good or better than any chef in the state . Honestly.

Is Cotton still around? Been a few years since I been up there, but I always ate at Cotton. One of my favorite restaurants in the whole state, Nola includedd

Well that’s one fish I’ll pass on. Swordfish and mackerel are not my style. Can’t think of any other fish I don’t like.

Yes, Cotton is still running. Great building and the food was fine last time I was in, though it’s been a while. Cory’s menu and recipes were still in use.

Yea, I like Trapp's ok but it isn't top 5 by any stretch. Just off the top of my head I would put Cotton, Does, Fat Pelican, Genusas, Frank's, Mowawk, Trios, Rawz, Taste of India, and Waterfront over it. Probably several others as well.

I had 2 Dudes (no homo) bbq joint the other day when I came back for a visit. It was pretty good. Especially that corn.

Swordfish and macareal are two different fish totally. Sword fish is a steak type fish with firm white meat. Can't over cook it. Love it with a lemon butter caper sauce. Kinda like wahoo but easier to cook IMHO.

I ate at Trapps for the first time several months ago. It was pretty good, but no way it is better than Waterfront. I need to try some of the others on the list.

Trapp’s isn’t fine dining, and not a Top 5 for me. But, it’s a neat spot with good food. Owner is Joey Trappey....of the hot sauce family. He’s done well as a restaurateur in the area.

Where is Latin Food? I want to try it out next time I'm over that way. That is if I can keep myself from going to the Magic Grill...

Thomas Road exit. South toward the mill. Cross the rr tracks and it’s on the right.
