Pat it all starts with their robust 2 page hiring manual filled with cartoon characters and then it moves on to their 3 page robust training manual. Popeyes has managed to do the unimaginable with their Commanders Palacesque staff in place.

How did they instruct you to pull up when you were inside?

I agree with this statement. But seriously, once a month we have a thread about "Popeyes service sucking" and "CFA's service being uber amazing". You would think the same folks who scream at the sky about poor service would eventually stop going to an establishment. But they don't.

Which ultimately makes me believe that a lot of the "I had the worst service at _____ establishment" stories on here are made up.

Think about this very carefully. Do you really have to ask this?

Have you ever had fresh out the fryer Popeyes spicy dark meat before?

If you did you’d understand why people keep going back. Give me a spicy 3 piece dark with a side of red beans and I’ll be in heaven. The. I’ll shite my brains out

Pat, sounds like you need to check your expectations. You know what you're getting in to when you make the "Popeye's for lunch" decision. If that's not your expectation then it should be so then you NEVER have a bad experience. I hope you also asked for Cajun Sparkles. Cajun Sparkles helps overcome the incompetent, slow service.

The real question you should be asking yourself is why do I bother going back to such a shitty place in the first place?

I was in a wealthy area of Tampa last week, named Carrolwood. I went through a BK drive-thru on the corner of W. Bearss and N. Florida Ave. I had some time to kill so I went inside and got a tea.

The kid running the register is in the process of growing his hair long, but was clean and polite. There was an upper middle class looking young lady working the drive-thru. The manager was about 6'4, white and had that Ivy League look to him.

They were all well spoken, polite, and were hustling to get the customers taken care of. The reason that I tell you this is that there was a Popeye's about a hundred yards south, on N. Florida. It gave me hope that, since this was a wealthy area, and BK had decent employees, Popeye's may too.

I could have gone through Popeye's and looked but I kind of wanted to keep the fantasy alive. There is hope.
