Heading to the Mile High city on business next week. Does anyone have a suggestion where I can find some good Louisiana cooking out there?
What are your favorite Denver restaurants?

I live in Bailey, which is a haul (about an hour) from downtown Denver via Hwy 285.
But, in downtown Bailey there is the Platte Canyon Grill that is genuine Louisiana cuisine.
It is owned by the folks who owned Murphy's Bar just off the LSU campus in BR. They moved up here after they lost everything in that situation where the LSU freshman drank himself to death.

McDonalds. They have a wonderful Cajun Chicken Sandwich. Make sure to super size your combo. I'm going to Mexico City next month. Do you know of a place down there that has some good Greek food?

Bayou Bob's serves Abita Beer and suprisingly good Louisiana food, they even have good sweet tea.
It is just a block off of the 16th Street mall.
The LSU Alumni get together at the Blake Street Tavern for LSU sporting events that are televised (at least this was the case during football season, we watched the game with them while we were on vacation)

Casa Bonita
I haven't been to Casa Bonita in 30 years. The food was very mediocre, but the setting is very entertaining, especially if you have kids. I hope the food is better now.

yep, Bennett and his wife are real nice folks.
The restaurant selection around here is awful, so they've developed a pretty loyal following locally.
And hwy 285 gets a lot of traffic in the summer and ski seasons. Not a bad location to pick. It is a picturesque drive up from Denver, but like I said plan on an hour.

Now that is funny! I woulda said Dandy Dan's, or, Shotguns.....
Seriously, good coonass food in this part of the world is scarce. Bayou Bob's aint' bad, and the place in Bailey is really good.
