Rolled out at 5:30 and walked the bank till is found THE SPOT. PP down and finished a three man limit of reds, most 16”-20” the best to clean. Done at 8:33 so we head out in search of sheehead. Put 11 of those mean bastids in the boat and head to barn. Same MO today but it was a desert. Rolled south and struck out so we headed back to original site. Most of the party had left and the third move was money. Errybody got on the board in an hour an we left them biting with 15 in the box along with some trash.

Friday i caught two bass, one 12in and one 8in. Got a speeding ticket on the way to the launch, and lost my marsh anchor when the coupling came unscrewed while it was down. Yesterday tried to find reds again with zero luck.

Ran a bazillion miles south of BSL looking for clean water. Never found trout but went and got a limit of reds

The kids have done well with the bream.
Last night they picked up some nice cats on pool noodles baited with chicken livers.

Just got home an hour ago, fished a benefit night tournament. First tournament I have fished in since 1996. Took my cousin with me who has never fished one. We did pretty well all things considered, finished 5th with 14.33. 21.66 won it. I had a good one get off at the boat that may have gotten us a check but we still had a blast.

Fished a farm pond with my ultralight spinning combos last evening. Caught a couple tiny crappie, some decent bluegills and a few small bass.

Unexpectedly had a grass carp take a live redworm on a gold size 2 long shank hook with a trout float and a 1/8" split shot in two feet of water. Big, big grass carp, probably 50+ pounds. First one I've ever hooked.

I don't have any quit in me when it comes to fighting fish so I chased that sumbitch over halfway around the pond and back with 6 only pound test tethering myself to said fish. This pond has a big 14" steel overflow pipe and he took me right under it and cut the line instantly after a good 20 minutes of running the bank trying to keep from getting spooled.

Maybe stupid to even try, but would have been a hell of a story if I'd somehow managed to pull it in

Fished GI thur-Sat and picked up around 12-20 each trip with lots of grinding to do so... Sunday the wind laid down and the beach was on fire... as I was trailering my boat back to Lafayette All about timing! Hopefully I’ll get to bust their arse my next weekend scheduled down there.

Had one day of work at the camp on saturday, got fish Sunday. Had to run a lot farther than “usual”, but the river is still high enough to make things tough. No trout, but a 6-man limit of reds and one nice green trout.

You know it

ETA: I guess they like fishing during the hottest part of the day. I’m still waiting on the sofa.

Floating in lake decade right now watching my brother try to loose a shrimp. We got a mixed box, probably about 15 fish total. Let a few nice bass off at the boat

Bruh we was in a 14' aluminum skiff drowning froze market shrimps. I guess I could have been more clear.

Managed to not catch a single trash fish somehow

I’ll be down there in the next few days and weeks. Holla, drinks on me at the Dularge Lounge.

Do you know if the Dulac bridge back open for vehicles yet? If so, we make the quick run the evening before to Cocodrie to pick up live shrimp. If not, we’ll catch one of the bait boats.
