Karl Malone FTs (10 seconds)

After Giannis air-balled that FT last night, he took his time on the 2nd FT to gather himself and appeared to be fairly close to the 10 second limit (although I didn't count).
It reminded me of late in Karl Malone's career when he would take forever to shoot FTs (while also talking to himself some sort of jibberish). To the point that opposing fans would start to count to 10, sometimes throwing him off a bit as he was releasing the FT right around 10 seconds or after. Malone was a bad FT shooter early in his career, improved quite a bit, but would have moments where it seemed the crowd would affect his concentration.
I can't recall if a ref ever called the 10 seconds on him? Or if it's ever happened to another player?

Karl Malone was a hard player to watch. Pick and roll w/ Stockton, 12 ft set shot, hour long free throws. Over and over and over and over. I despised him.

It's happened on and off, but Malone was probably the worst in constantly pushing the line.
It happened because he would talk to himself during his routine. It was always fun to try to read his lips when the camera would close on his face.

Imagine him doing that karate kick driving into the lane nowadays. Harden or Paul might actually fake death after being on the receiving end of that move.
