There is amazing hiking in the area in Marin county, around Muir Woods and Mt Tam. I would suggest starting at pantoll ranger station and taking The dipsea trail down to Stinson beach and steep ravine trail back to pantoll ranger station

Sacramento
Drive/uber 45 minutes southeast to Lodi. Go to Michael David winery, eat lunch in their cafe, then grab a bottle of their cinsault rose, and enjoy the beautiful outdoor garden. Then eat dinner at the Towne House restaurant at the wine and roses resort.

My favorite meal in San Francisco was at Burma Superstar -- very reasonably priced too.

Old Sacramento is probably the most unique tourist spot in Sacramento.
I'm not sure it's the same now, but make sure you get your Alcatraz tickets early, they usually sell out. I do recommend it.
Walk the Golden Gate bridge.
Walk Lombard street.
Muir woods.
Among many other things
