I just finished Breaking Bad a while back, ran through Better call Saul as well. Probably the best series I’ve watched. Would like to get into another one.

There isn't a better a series, IMO. Debated with several friends that it is better than GOT...feeling pretty good about my stance now.

AMC hit it out of the park with BB and Mad Men. So if you haven't seen Mad Men I'd check that out.

It’s my pick for #1, but there are a couple of other shows that I can’t say are wrong picks either

There isn't. The wire is REALLY good, though. It would probably be the best if breaking bad didn't exist.

Breaking Bad is the GOAT

The final season of The Wire disqualifies it from consideration.

Breaking Bad wasn't even the best show on TV when it was on

The show ended well so it gets a bump because it’s the last thing people remember. Breaking bad had one main story line with limited characters/plots. It doesn’t have the depth of some of the other great shows. It doesn’t compare to GOT or the Sopranos and The Wire.

I haven't found one.
Others have been close but none other was as satisfying.

For relatively recent chronological story-telling TV dramas, these were some of my favorite binge-ing experiences, with the seasons I thoroughly enjoyed:

Breaking Bad all 5 seasons
Band of Brothers mini-series
Game of Thrones seasons 1-6
The Wire all 5 seasons
The Sopranos seasons 1-5
Heroes seasons 1, 2
Walking Dead seasons 1-4.5
True Detective season 1
Stranger Things season 1
Mad Men seasons 1-5
House of Cards seasons 1, 2
Dexter seasons 1-4
Westworld season 1
John Adams HBO mini-series
Mindhunter season 1
Lost season 1 (unfortunately, never finished the series past this season, so I can't say if the rest were good enough to watch, but I'm told there were some other entertaining seasons)
Downton Abbey season 1

I highly recommend any of those series with those specific seasons. Going any further, you are at your own risk.

The Sopranos may be as good but Ive seen none better. GOT had a shot but couldn't stick the landing. Didn't see the Wire

Both GOT and the Wire are better than breaking bad because neither of them had Skyler White.

First two seasons of Fargo are amazing and must-see TV. Third season took a bit of a dip, but was still very good.

There isn't anything better, but The Americans, FNL, Bates Motel, and Mad Men are all very good. I've never watched Sopranos or The Wire.

I'm a big fan of the 10ep and done or just one season. Theres not many shows that can drag for 5+ years and not become tired. I think Game of Thrones is the only show I haven't had fatigue with. (Sorry not sorry to the people that pisses off)

The wire and the sopranos are as good. Debatably better. I have rewatched all 3 of them at least 3 times.
