This will mark the fourth time this season in which we face off against one of Aaron George's former teammates at San Jac. Mizzou, Arkansas, and Texas were the other times.
Now that I've typed that out, this game is looking worse than I originally thought.

Found this reading about the win against State

Luck isn’t something this year’s Gamecocks have had much of, at least from a positive standpoint — what with a devastating rash of injuries to the pitching staff and a frustrating conference season where the Gamecocks felt they were putting in all the effort, only to continually fall just short of putting it all together.

South Carolina stinks. That's one fact. Because of that, this will probably be a barn burner. That's (almost) a fact.

Maybe it’s because they’re in the east and we don’t play them a whole not, and they aren’t really exceptional at anything but women’s basketball, I’ve always kinda liked South Carolina. I also loved Marcus Lattimore.

You sure sound salty. Which ones are out? How long have they been out? What percentage of them are out? What injuries do they have? What is their offseason workout regimen? Rest days? Bullpen sessions?
What an uneducated 'gotcha'

This is a very cool feature from South Carolina's website: Series History

Damn, so Mainieri fricked up their pitcher's arms too?

I was pointing out they have had a down season likely due to pitching injuries, nothing more
They have always had pretty good team
As far as an “uneducated gotcha” you can GFY, I didn’t write the article
And as far as all of your questions, do your own research, I don’t know the answers nor do I really care since I’m not a fan of USC baseball.

What an absolute frick-off. Why is injured pitchers a topic that you have so much interest in? Is it a fetish?
Maybe just let it go for a while and stop hijacking threads with your fricking idiocy.

I was actually in attendance for the tie game back in the early 90’s.

They won the last CWS at Rosenblatt and the first at TD Ameritrade.
Kind of jealous of that fact.

I was too. I think Scott FItterererererer blew a save and the game went extras. Then before the top of the 11th (I think 11th), at around 6:00, the SC team packed their bags and started walking out of the dugout and the first thing i thought about was that they had a plane to catch...and sure enough that was it. I think some of the fans booed as they were leaving
The coach later said that he wasn't in a position to eat several thousand dollars worth of airline tickets and he had no choice....and I agree with him. Had to do what he had to do.
