Message Make adoption mandatory. by DocSavage Let social services review income and background and place children with families as a civic duty. You are contacted by a case manager and informed that you will be made responsible for the child. A penalty is paid, if you refuse, that goes to the child. If you agree, the child receives free health care for life and you are income tax exempt until the child is 25. Only once per household. Thoughts?

Since you want to make fantasy proposals, let me try.

We take thousands of condoms and just dump them in homes of people not economically viable to raise children. They must undergo 100 hours of education on the use of them as well as what happens if they don’t.

If they still have a child.. they are beaten with a cane.

Thoughts?

please define "force" for me

The only forcing in my proposal is a penalty for not meeting your civic duty to care for a child without a family.

oh so you're not trying to force anybody to do anything, except the stuff you're forcing them to do

Yeah man, this is an important issue to me, seeing as I entered foster care at the age of 1 years old. I witnessed the effects of unwanted pregnancies every day man, it was hell. You pro life Republicans are simply virtue signaling because you dont give a frick about kids after they are born.

So, you're sorry you weren't aborted? Wow. I'm on the fundraising committee for the local children's center. We give room, board, clothes, education and hook them up with internships locally. We're privately funded and have 15 dorm rooms. You know where all of our donors come from? Conservative families and local businesses. When we have to move them out when they're 18 it's a sad damn day.

I assure you, none of them would have rather been aborted.

The Singapore model. While proven effective it would be met with cries of racism by targeted neighborhoods in a country like the U.S.A.

How about, and I might be crazy here, don’t get pregnant if you can’t afford to raise a child. Be responsible with your reproductive organs. If you want to frick, use birth control.

Sure, keep preaching something that hasn’t caught on for thousands of years. How about repetitive, redundant, and unashamed proper sex education? I’ve preached to my boys redundantly over the years that they’re carrying around a bag of seeds...and seeds SPROUT. Said it in conversations concerning girls every chance I got since they were in 5th or 6th grade. Worked so far *Knocks on wood* (not that kind of wood)

Let the SCHOOLS do it starting EARLY because most parents are too chickenshit or find some religious rationalization for not discussing something normal and human. I’ve actually had a church adult (Methodist) tell me that teenaged sex drives were not normal and was Satan in disguise. Didn’t work for me...

Lol! What a pathetic tool. Through the foster system, Catholic Family Services, private adoption, agency adoption, any of it. It's very sticky and every lawyer gets paid in the process. White, black (let's be honest for a second. That's the race you're passive aggressively insinuating), it doesn't matter. Do tell, what is you basis of expertise in this process? Nothing. You're a fricking kid with a keyboard (even if you're 50).

Your duty to your fellow citizens is not force. We have a draft, a jury system and other instances where you are asked to do your duty. My proposal makes caring for children without a family a civic duty with penalties for not fulfilling those said duties. I'm not forcing you to do your duty, the penalty is the option out. This is not unamerican.

We don’t want any single parents either so let’s make divorce illegal too. It’s mentioned in the Bible more than abortion so surely the Evangelicals will be on board.

i'm an attorney with intricate knowledge of the DCFS system in Louisiana. there are tons of kids waiting to be adopted in our system

most are "too old" and many aren't the right color. there is DEFINITELY not a shortage of children waiting to be adopted, but there is an extreme shortage of babies (especially white ones)

Drugs, irresponsible sexual practice, gov't incentives to have more kids, no incentive to be responsible parents.
That about covers it.

I'm just glad all of these progressive assholes trying to be snarky are bringing attention to adoption. Since we all know they're just trying to justify baby murder, they have no intention of adoption or donating, but despite that, some good may come of it. Adoption has been this huge secret but now is mainstream enough that it will become more popular the more people think about it. Now if we can just get the process streamlined, we can really talk about healing this blot on society.

As someone who as actually adopted a kid, I can tell you this is a very bad idea.

1. Many adopted kids are special needs. You are going to saddle these parents with these kids? Please...
2. Many of these kids have few to zero social skills. Again, please....
3. Will you mix races. If you do, like it or not these kids will be harassed once again.
4. What if the selected family wants to start a bio family of their own, but now hesitates because they were required to adopt.
5. Adopted kids typically have a difficult time bonding with their adopted families.

I have a great deal of empathy for kids in the system. However, forcing them on families is not the answer.
