Guess it would be too easy to publish a picture clearly showing the labels of the drink bottles... that would be too telling for sure.

It's time. Ban plastic unless it is biodegradable.

If liberals really cared about pollution they'd say something about the third world shitholes that are responsible for 99% of it.
Is there something wrong with recognizing that we went through the same thing? We weren't penalized for it.
Makes sense for the US and other developed countries to help share the regulatory burden of developing countries. It's the most equitable solution and benefits every human on this planet

Liberals care about having and using an issue, real or not, rather than fixing the issue.

Are Republicans against this not happening?
Republicans are for focusing on the actual cause, not just pursuing ridiculous legislation that does nothing but impose even more restrictions on the people not causing this.

This is exactly right. But, I think Americans will be the only people that will do anything about it. Whether its large corporations like Exxon that fund the cleanup or open a free landfill, or some kind of non-profit group. Forcing the American people to give up freedom and tax dollars for a problem they solved 40 years ago is stupid.

Ie it against the rules to want the people in 3rd world countries to benefit while also wanting to abate pollution?

The problem is those 3rd world countries laugh at your "rules" about pollution so apparently you have to choose between the two (at least until they stop polluting). Which do you pick?

Call 4Ocean to clean it up! Support them by buying a bracelet and they will pick a pound of plastic.

Ocean Dumping Ban Act
S.2030 — 100th Congress (1987-1988)
Passed Senate with an amendment by Yea-Nay Vote. 97-0.
Unless you are looking to conquer the world, looks like we are all on board for not dumping in the ocean.
