Forget the Media and Knicks fans...we are getting national support....

Go look at r/nba or other NBA forums. The fans are grossed out by the reaction to this towards NOLA. I think we will become a fan favorite not only because we have Zion but because a lot of people will happily say frick yall to the National Media.

We're officially America's team sons

There really is almost a universal reaction among fans of other teams not named Knicks or Lakers that the media is disgusting.
The people starting these threads aren't even Pels fans. ESPN really fricking stepped in it big time.

Rational fans were on our side during the Lakers debacle, too.
It was pretty much just Lebron homers and Facebook/Reddit NBA casuals who thought we were wrong.
Good sense always prevails eventually.

I know its still a long shot but I swear if AD announces he will stay, we will see some glorious media melts. Regardless any attention is good attention. Doesn't bother me being the #1 talking point, especially when people can see so hard through their BS.

I think people started to cheer this franchise when we didn’t budge on the attempted AD coup. We didn’t back down to the pressure put on us by LeBron and his people. Not only that but we helped expose the dysfunction of that organization.
Add all the absurdity of the Zion narrative and it’s hard to not be rooting for the little guy

I've learned a long time ago that even discussion on messages boards does not necessarily translate to what your casual NBA fan on the street thinks. Those people still typically regurgitate what the national media says. Then after that you have your bigger nba fan that looks at messages boards like reddit and sometimes sees what is really going on (and sometimes does not). Those are the people that are realizing what is going on here. But if you start talking to some casual basketball not in NOLA, NY or LA, then chances are they still think that Zion isn't happy about coming here.

The trump effect
People have learned to despise when the media tries to force a narrative or opinion

Most of the reactions I've seen say it's a win for parity and the league.
Small markets have to build through the draft, big markets get FAs. The NBA is at it's peak right now and the big markets are mostly down. (Lakers/Bulls/Knicks).
The final 4 playing has only one top 15 market represented yet league popularity is soaring and the two best players in the world are about to go all East Coast/West Coast to renew Knicks/Lakers.
It was perfect for the league. It was bad for Spike Lee.

Zion will bring in alot of bandwagon fans nationwide. Hell the number of Duke fans here locally seemed to explode 3 times over this year.
