Miami totally sucked. They only finished third in the NCAA in total defense. fricking awful.

2014 LSU finished with a top 10 defense.

you about to start singing the praises of the 2014 LSU squad??

“ as they should be”

I can agree with that. Thing is, they have to be willing to except the blowback when things don’t go as well as they suggested they would.

Ricky do you know there is an ocean of difference between singing praises and saying that teams suck? You said Miami sucked. Did 2014 LSU suck?

yall caught me!

Since it's clearly impossible for two people who don't know each other to agree online, the only logical conclusion is that we are the same person.

wide receiver starts are about as useful as a cock flavored lollipop. receptions, yards, catch rate, all much more useful stats.

but yeah, lets talk about how many "starts"

actually, YOU said Miami sucked. in your smarmy know it all way before dropping your A-HA moment about their defense.

heckuva defense I tell ya. gave up damn near 30 points to boston college. Fcking BOSTON COLLEGE.

a 4 game losing streak to UVA, Duke, the previously aforementioned Boston College, and Georgia Tech.

oh yeah, and that vaunted defense also showed up in the bowl game, when they got their freaking clocks cleaned 35-3 to finish the season unranked.

oh, and Richt fired himself.

yeah, that team was not good. sorry charlie.

well they were the first team in what felt like a century to lose to Miss State...at home.

It was Miles' worst margin of defeat to an Auburn team that wasn't all that great.

oh and LSU was kind enough to give BIG BERT his first SEC win, ever. in a 17-0 shutout.

and lest we forget the Music City Bowl. ah yes, how could be forget the Music City Bowl, with all of its pomp and circumstance, only reserved for the elite teams at the end of the season.

yeah, dude, LSU in 2014 was not good. you just now figuring this out??

hat's because you aren't using what the good Lord gave you. Les started losing 3 and 4 games a year on the back end of his career. Coach O is doing what Miles failed to do, build solid lines and find a QB and lets not forget refused to change the offensive philosophy!

true that, plus, other than the bama game, this team was much more competitive even in their losses and just a SEC ref frickery job away from a 2 loss season. Strongest season we have had since 2011, 8 years ago and highest season ranking in 8 years. Then when you look at the classes we pulled in and are getting ready to pull in, there hasn't been a better time to be a tiger fan in a long time.

Then when you look at what we have coming back on offense and defense from last years team, the future couldn't look much better than it does right now. It won't be long until the program is back to the glory years of LSU football, 2005-2007, when we finished the seasons ranked 5, then 3 then 1. Two or three more solid recruiting classes and we will be right there once again.

3 and 4 loss seasons.....same as Les Miles' bad years.

Yes that is true but I prefer not to optimistic and not turn into a negatiger in May. I will wait for November to do that.

This and I don't know why the negas can't see it. The only thing that I can come up with is that they hate the coach so much that they're blinded. I guess that's why I have very little patience for them.

Let's let this season play out first, eh?

LSU is favored in 11 of 12 games.

Vegas put the O/U at 9, with the over being -110 (ie, the "favorite")

so theres no one doubting anymore, its now about going out and kicking butt this year!

It took me less than a minute to disprove this.

In 2013, outside of the Alabama game since you get to omit it, we had a 3 point loss to UGA and a 3 point loss to OM.

Les' SEC record his last 3+ seasons: 5-3 4-4 5-3 1-1 O's SEC record: 4-2 6-2 5-3

Les SEC record his last 2 plus seasons:
10-8 or 55%

Coach O's SEC record since he became HC:
11-5 or 69%

I prefer the 2nd one, Coach O's

Coach Miles season rankings his last 2 seasons:
completely unranked, not even in the top 25, and 16

Coach O's season rankings his FIRST two seasons at LSU:
18, and #6.
I prefer the 2nd one, Coach O's.

again, in his 2nd full season as HC at LSU he gets the team back in the top 10 all the way back up to #6. Been a long long time since we've been there with Miles only equaling or beating that one time in his last 8 seasons at LSU (with 2011 #2)

There's plenty of so-called LSU fans on this forum that down the coaches and program daily.

This is going to be a great season.
