Uhhh. He was totally there to watch the Unsullied rape a pillage and like totally felt bad about it.

I doubt that happens

That's relevant. Extremely relevant.

Jon's all about the GREATER GOOD. But, and I do get that this is definitely a moral gray area for him (although it IS Westeros, and not 21st century America, and things are a BIT looser in Westeros);
BUT, he does have the cards in his hand. He has to read the game better.
Take one for the team, don't tell her in Winterfell, and swear Bran and Sam to secrecy. Address it with her after they deal with Cersei. Abstain from sex, tell her he needs to focus on battles and strategy until it ends. Or frick her, he didn't grow up with her and they can't have babies, so 'live in sin' for the greater good.

Or later on, when she's still appealing to have sex but gives him the crazy eyes after refusing, and then comes back to him again- again, take one for the team. Deal with it when she doesn't have her finger on the trigger.
At some point, he has to understand that he has to either kill her or frick her, because she's going to have him killed instead.

I think if he never tells her, and instead says he can't be with her, he has to remain in the North but pledges undying loyalty, she takes the Throne and rules well. He either goes with Tormund back north of the Wall with Bran and Sam (and they do fit up there), or he has to kill them for the greater good, because she would go Mad Queen if she ever found out... because they show her reacting to various things that hint she would do exactly what she's doing.

That would have been the 'bittersweet ending' I'd have betted on prior to this season, with Tyrion finding out from Bran during the Winterfell saga, but sitting on it.
Finale would be Jon departing, with Jon and Tyrion sharing a knowing look and a nod.

His speech eulogizing the dead was really good.

I agree. I thought his tone captured strength and grief well.

Jon is a well-meaning but ultimately incompetent leader. He's the Ned Stark of Ned Starks. If the show wants a feel-good ending, he'll end up on the iron throne (someone, because he sure as shite doesn't have the balls to take it). If it wants to be realistic, he'll stay on as Daenerys' do-boy.

I know you are trying to joke but Kit isn't bad this season.

Emelia Clarke however.. she gets worse per episode.

If you want to ruin the hero you’ve built up over six seasons. Make him completely ineffectual.

So Cersei and Jaime had to hide their love/sex WHY? I swear some of you don't even watch the show. People are not okay with incest, especially in King's Landing. Why do you think Jaime pushed Bran out of a window? Why did the High Sparrow try to use their banging to his advantage?

I was expecting Jon to get everything calmed down. Then Dany to nuke the surrendering Lannisters. Leaving a shite load of survivors to see Jon the merciful warrior King and Dany the fricking queen bitch of Westeros.

Then it went on and on and her dad's old caches of wildfire went up...

Not his fault people die. Hes always in the mix fighting with them. He is the exact opposite of joffery.

Out of all the leaders in Westeros, who would you rather fight for?

He’s weak, kowtowing to Dany. And prone to making very bad decisions. See the BOB.

Yeah, I was hoping he would pull his men out for the city, leaving Danys soldiers behind.

Probably not after last night, and I think he learns from mistakes.

Looks like you have a little too much High Sparrow in you. Those freaks from Flea Bottom roll a little differently.

Of course Walder Frey is a pedophile, Craster had multiple children from his own daughters that Lord Commander Jeor Mormont seemed to tolerate, there's rape, torture...brutality, etc...

Dude...Its Westeros..It's a nation of reprobates. You can prioritize what vice is more acceptable to make you feel better...

I do watch the show...several times over in fact..
