I want to talk about the rebel flag

Still pretty new here and I want to have a meaningful, thoughtful conversation about something I've noticed about the rebel flag. I'm prepared to get down-voted to hell for this, but I wanna kill time before game 7 starts between the Sixers and Raptors
I'm black and my opinion about the flag is...that I don't care. It's never bothered me, Ive shared drinks with people with rebel flags hung in their garage and they were ok in my book. My allows me to travel to all parts of Louisiana far and wide. I also have a lot of white friends, rich and poor.
But why is it that I see the flag waving in poorer, or lower income areas but never in higher income areas?
Do upper middle class, or upper class whites not share the same sentiment about the flag and it's history? DO they even care? What say you. I'm ready for thought provoking conversation and not have insults slung at me. I'm just curious.
TLDR Why do upper class whites not wave the rebel flag bot low income white do? and I'm black and the flag has never bothered me.

I live in the north and find it incredibly trashy that people up here fly them here. If the south is that great, why are you here? Not insulting the south in anyway either, so please don't over think that.

Upper class whites do it behind closed doors at the secret meetings they have where tokens of white privilege are doled out.
You know, secret societies. I was appointed 10 years of happiness and a harem just for being white

My entire school was covered in them. Yearbooks, cheerleader uniforms etc. We never thought twice about it. It's become taboo recently. This was our basketball court after the flood. And no we weren't that good when I was there

Upper class white people have to much to lose. Poor people dont care so they will Express their views with flags, bumper stickers, Facebook post, etc.

They're smart enough to know it's not worth the negative attention it draws

Honest not trolling reply...
I think it looks cool but I wouldnt want to alienate half of america that doesnt like it by publicly displaying it. I think people that claim some connection to it or radically defend it are making shite up tbh. Dont care if it's in people's homes and dont care when people I know have it. Has no place on public grounds like courthouses though.

Most ppl don’t wave flags period in my experience, very few on display in the urban areas where i’ve lived.
The confederate battle flag waves most in the rural south and I don’t understand why either. Freedom of expression I suppose, not my thing but they can knock themselves out. Some ppl seem to romanticize the period and some are descendants of confederate veterans.

And I had ancestors who fought in WWII, WWI, the Mexican War, the War of 1812, the American Revolution, the French & Indian War, etc.
Why would I choose a flag of one of those conflicts and fly one that over the others?

Poorer people tend to need someone or something to blame for their own shortcomings in life.
