Upside Down WA Mourvèdre Grenache blend. Do not sleep on the Columbia Gorge.

Delicious Albariño at Costera. First time in there, wont be last. Pan con tomate done simply but with addition of a tapenade of sorts with dehydrated tomatoes, anchovy spread. Beautiful gambas in a lemon garlic broth. Octopus and beans. But the stunner was this cold vegetable salad bursting with acidity.
Many Spanish restaurants outside of Spain suffer from either a slavish adherence to authenticity no matter the quality of the ingredients or a reliance on the molecular gastronomy fad. I thought Costera captures the Spanish spirit of dining and food very well.

Anyone seen or tried this? It's from O'Neill who makes the very meh line 39 brand. Looks like a Taylor or handy bottle. Zin, cab, Petit verdot, petite sirah, and merlot blend with 3 months in bourbon barrels.

15.9% and aged in bourbon barrels. Hell id rather just drink bourbon.

Someone had me try Sav Blanc aged in tequila barrels a while back. Terrible.

I was reading in the new Bon Appetit issue about co-ferments. "Red and white, but not rose", they said. Basically, you ferment multiple grape varieties in one vessel. Different from a regular blend where wines are combined after the fermentation process.
From the photo, looks like they're more red in color than white, but are served chilled.
Anyone have favorites? I'd like to try this out. White wine and rose gives me heartburn, so this looks like a nice alternative.

Some of them are pretty good. Curious about this one because I think zin does well with the barrel age.

Cooper and thief? I haven't had any of theirs yet. They have a few barrel aged wines.

That sounds right.
Not my thing at all.

Anyone use the underground cellar app? I downloaded it last week and I’m addicted

What’s addictive about it? Unfamiliar.

Never heard of it. I'll check it out.
Another plug for my favorite $10 bottle:

It's like a deal app? I'll wait for more reviews.
LastBottle is pretty good although researching a bit first will help avoid getting suckered into a mediocre deal. Admittedly, I don't think you'll get screwed but you just may get pressured to rush into a purchase that is basically the market price for a widely available wine.
Surprisingly I can't find a good wine tracking app I completely like

Is there something out there better than Vivino?
Cellar tracker seems barren and dated.
Vivino almost always has SOME reviews. I think the ratings are pretty BS, since any bottle over $35 is no less than 4.1 or so. But I gain a lot from the actual reviews and tasting notes of other users.

Tart stone fruit, lime zest, and probably a good bit of wet stone. Paired with charcuterie and cheese but think it would have played better maybe with some oysters or just a big plate of thick slices of tomatoes, sea salt and good olive oil.
Keep an eye on this winery. Well financed, focused. Making some great pinots and chardonnays in Willamette.

Lineup for dinner tonight at Gianna. Will report back
The two 04s were lights out after about an hour decanted. Sadly the 97 had turned the corner. Like sucking on a plum coated copper penny. Ohh well. But those 04s were delicious.
Delicious dinner.

I’m not a wine drinker but I do buy wine for my wife and friends. Just curious what wines people on here have tried that fall in the $15-$30 range that you thought were just terrible and would probably not finish the glass if it was given to you?
