Players to keep an eye on heading into Minicamp and beyond

Several players I wanna keep an eye on heading into minicamp. I think back to 2016 and hearing how incredible Mike Thomas was in camp, and how he lived up to that hype.
Trequan Smith- Can he take that next step and justify us not taking a WR in the draft?
Darnell Holland- Another possible toy for Sean on offense. Could play slot or rb.
Cameron Tom- Can he become a solid backup and possible starter? Need solid depth at all positions on the offensive line.
Trey Hendrickson- 3rd year, this could be a make or break year for him.
Chase Hansen- My favorite UDFA move. The dude can play safety and linebacker, or just be a great special teams player.
Chauncey Gardner Johnson- One of the biggest steals in the draft IMO. He and Marcus could create one of the best safety duos in the NFL
A few rookies in there but we've shown in the past we'll let veterans go in favor of players that fit our scheme better. I'm super excited for this team and the moves we've made.

Devine Ozigbo will make the team as RB3
You heard it here first.

Even more than that, I’m interested to see Cameron Meredith’s health and ability and how quickly Cook and integrate himself into the offense.
Smith played well, but if we have Thomas, Smith, Cook, Meredith and Kamara at full speed......Ohhhhhh-we, that’s a potent passing offense.

Nah you’d be about the 11th

I understand he was a utility player in Florida's secondary, but I thought everybody projected him to be slot corner?

Kaden Elliss is an interesting player. Good athlete that can possibly make an impact on special teams and add depth at LB.

McCoy for me. Think about how far ahead of the game we'd be if this kid could step in right away and play.
Cook too.
Cook too.

He will make us forget that we want a WR besides Thomas to step up.

Deonte Harris - wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes our returner and a WR3-4. You heard it here first.

lil'jordan just so we can follow up with the arguing over him making the team in that thread

That argument is gonna be lit

I think more of that rover type position. Can play CB in the Nickel or Dime or can play the 3rd safety up on the line in a 3rd and 3 type situation. Similar to M. Jenkins when he was here.

I'm going to be watching:
Armstead, Peat and Davenport to see how healthy they are.
The battle for #3 RB and #2,3,4 and 5 WR
Battle for #3 TE.
Battle for #2 RT.
And last can a 3rd down pass rusher emerge.

Hoping Meredith is healthy. He has the talent to be THE difference.
Rookie camp opens this weekend; looking forward to the early impressions.

This might be a dumb question, but is Dez not still on the team?

Back when he got hurt, CSP said they would give him a shot to make the team this year but no, he doesn't have a deal to play in 2019-20 as far as I know

I mean I really like him as a player but let’s not put the cart before the horse. He was a 4th round pick for a reason

No, he is a free agent. There was an article in March that the Saints wanted him back so we will see.
