Cut a tiger, add a tiger. Hopefully Ware can lock in the second string position and stay the course. Unfortunately, could be the last chance for Wright.

pretty amazing that Wright was able to hang on in the league for so long

Agreed, the dude literally caught 0 passes his entire senior season, and got drafted in 7th round. He only caught like 25 or so passes his whole career.

Basically stuck around for special teams play alone.

You have to admire Wright's grit. Never got frustrated with his limited role at LSU. Didn't quit or transfer. Made a nice career out of it in the NFL.

Boone and Wright were the most underused WR’s in modern day LSU football

Wright and Boone had the unfortunate situation of Beckham and Landry supplanting them. Wright also dealt with Randle and Shepard being ahead of him on the depth chart. I wouldn’t say they were underused but rather just bad timing with the depth we had at their position at that time

Boone's eventual game winning TD diving TD grab against a Manziel-led A&M to give us the lead will be an epic TD I'll always remember him for

Wright was also a very good run-blocker

Amazing pass and catch. Defense was STOUT that game too.

And of course the sparsity of passes in Les Miles' LSU offense could only accommodate at most two WRs. The rest of the WR corp were lucky to catch 10 passes each the whole season. Hopefully this "new" offense everyone is raving about will fully use the offensive skill players on the team in the passing games, including RBs, TE and backup WRs.

I'm thinking he would be shooting for third string because Mack and Hines is a pretty good 1-2 punch.

Ware should make this team & provide solid depth on early downs between the tackles. After the injury on 2017, saw little playing time last year, so fresh legs going forward. Not a bad deal for a one year $ 1M contract.
