Thomas
Trequan year 2
Kirkwood year 2
Healthy Ginn
Healthy Merideth

Someone will emerge to be our #2 next to Mike. Throw in the Jared Cook signing and Kamara's pass catching ability and I'm honestly fine with this group. Is it just Madden syndrome that people want some new toys on offense?

Plus I think Saints design Dez on a one year price it deal. He will be the second player saints bring back off of PUP. Rankings being the first.

Healthy Ginn is the only one who's been consistently productive. We dont NEED another receiver but it would be nice to have a new option.

Well take your TE and RB out of the mix. You need a steady stable of 5-6 WRs for the roster.

1) Thomas
2) Smith
----------------------------------
After those two we really have several unknown variables right now.

Ginn (Health)
Meridith (Health)
Bryant (Health)

Kirkwood (still unproven)

If we pick one up, I want a punt returner (preferably an overall return guy, as Kamara is now even more vital to the offense). Not a #2 guy necessarily, but a TLL replacement.

If there's a corner with those abilities, that'd be fine too.

I’m hoping Simmie Cobbs emerges.

I think we are good at WR. Brees needs to not focus so much on MT and distribute Moore.

Marcus sherrels will return punts now and he will def bring one back to the house this year.

Such an underrated signing.
I always wondered why the saints never signed one of these only special teams returners and they finally did

Just a bunch of names. None of those guys are legit wr2s in the NFL. A guy like butler, ridley, or Harmon could potentially be a solid wr2 in our offense. Those guys have been mocked from late 1st to 2nd round . I'd hate to see us pass on value like that with a 4th round pick.

I wouldn't mind grabbing Julian love or one of the safeties left either though (hooker, thompson, gardner-johnson)

Really hoping for Butler or Harmon though

David Sills from West Virginia is another intriguing option.

We visited with him if I’m not mistaken also. Seems like a Sean Payton pick

Smith was the same exact guy last year. I was hoping for a bigger development jump during last, season, but you would have to expect any rookie WR to make a similar impact. Therefore, based on your criteria, they would be just another name.

I’m not opposed to another WR, but I could see LBer, Safety, DE, TE as solid depth picks with WR at this point. There isn’t a lot of room on our roster.

I’d like it, can’t argue with his production. 125 catches, 1966 yards and 33 touchdowns in his last two seasons combined. 6’3 210lb 37 in vert, strongest attribute is high pointing the ball and hardly has any drops.

I saw WR stats last year that I have never seen before. I think at one point we were mid season and our second leading receiver had like 12 catches. Multiple times late in the year we couldn’t move the ball.

Meredith is an unknown
Kirkwood is an undrafted unknown
Smith was a disappointment

Yeah I like him as a player. But I could also see us getting Riley Ridley. He’s a willing and capable blocker, something Sean loves in his WR’s.

Smith was a 5th rounder and had nowhere near a 2nd round grade

They def need another WR. While I'm not saying he's a bust, outside of a couple of games, Smith disappeared for large periods last season. I'm sure he needs time to adjust to the physicality of the NFL, but they need to get Thomas some help. Good god - Thomas started to get triple teamed last season. That's how bad the other wrs are.
