If I were in New Orleans right now, I'd be going there. The photos on Facebook look mighty tasty.
Spinach and fennel crusted fried green tomatoes with fried oysters.
Crabmeat stuffed soft shell crab with almond meuniere sauce.

Could I get that with crab meat on top too? I'm totally serious.

Plus, their regular standbys are always spot on: rabbit, duck or the gumbo. FYI - would avoid for the next 2 seeks until the JF crush has subsided.

Nice looking plates, but heavy....fried plus fried. I like a bit more contrast these days, either in a garnish, supporting side, or something. I look at those plates and my gallbladder hurts.
Commander's has a sure hand w/softshells, and they're often served on a bed of something tangy, which is a nice foil. Pickled mirliton slaw is one example I can recall.
