There needs to be an effort on all sides to punish those responsible and move forward. We can't let these people dictate an escalation of hostilities.

exactly...
and don't get it twisted... explaining the ACTUAL context of the passage, IMO, in no way, shape, or form condones the actions of extremists... actions like what we saw today are deplorable, sick, and inhumane, and should be condemned, and it would GREATLY help if we saw moderate Muslims come out strong against shite like this...
but then again, ALL religions have had their fair share of unjustifiable killing, at one time or another... and the thing to keep in mind is that its a perversion of whichever religion that's doing the killing...

frick all ya mooslims that downvoted!

You can rightly frick off with this. Islam has remained in the 1400 year holy war against Christianity, while Christianity moved along a very long time ago. The fact is, the knuckle dragging Islamists are either fully supportive or largely ignore incidents like this, not speaking out ("some people did something").
And yet, in the rare case you see an attack on a Muslim, the media trips and falls all over itself, while when a Muslim attacks a Christian, we're forced to evaluate what we did to provoke it. It's fricking laughable.

Agreed, we had some friends that we met in Sri Lanka and they had absolutely nothing. But would give you the only shirt they owned if you needed it. fricking unbelievable how people can have this much hate in their heart

i absolutely agree with you here... that's why i think moderate muslims should grow some nuts and police their own... that doesn't happen, though, and extremists continue to grow bolder even against their own, which gives them the constant upper hand...

really? playing the victim card?
again, while i don't support any religion, i am aware enough to know that in the case of religious killings, those doing the killing are using a twisted version of the actual teachings of whatever religion they follow... they are ALL to be condemned, nor accepted as the actual belief the religion itself...

Says who? Do you speak Arabic? If so, why is it interpreted by so many to make them do the things they do? Not only that, but why don’t Muslims come out and condemn attacks like these and explain to the damn world the “literal” translation? Please explain

Then you know exactly what I'm talking about. We had so many people do things to help us, without trying to profit. That's what makes it so sad.

Hey guys, Chris says we need to remember that some Christians did some things way back in the Middle Ages. We need to remind ourselves that even though Islam is the religion responsible for the vast majority of attacks in MODERN times.
But, hey, like, some crusaders did some things way back when. Chris wants us to remember this.

I saw it, it was the most humbling experience of my life. Made me feel like the most selfish person on earth. Wife was in tears when we left there

I saw a lady with the curtains on the other day in Costco and I called crime stoppers. I refuse to let these people inflict terror on me and other good Christian Americans

“Moderate” means “guy who pays for the bomb” in raghead

Same here. We've seen a lot of places, esp. in Asia. But Sri Lanka really reminded us how people can be. My prayers go to them.

killing is killing, no matter where on the timeline it occurs, no matter who it is doing the killing... both instances are wrong, and as i said, are not the true identity of EITHER religion... that's what i'm trying to get at... there is blood on everyone's hands, despite what we may want to hear and/or believe...

Reminder: the Crusaders were running the rapacious and cruel Muslim barbarians off the land
The Crusades were a response to brutality, not the origin.
