Are expectations so low now, that some are legit upset at talk of getting a proven coach?

I mean, are we now so demoralized that talk of Woodward possibly delivering us a BCS winning, proven QB recruiting/developing coach, now makes some fans outright angry?
Have we become so accustomed to settling for 2nd and 3rd in the west (btw Jimbo finished 2nd in the west in his 1st year with another coaches players) that talk of getting a stud coach is quickly debunked by saying a 3-loss year is acceptable? And its improvement? And its moving in the right direction? Its not folks, its what we had
I just cant quite wrap my head around the total and complete acceptance of Miles 2.0, when many were clamoring to get Jimbo back when Miles 1.0 was producing the exact same results?
Has our desire to be elite been completely crushed at this point?

Insecure fans see a little bit of themselves in O and the claws come out any time other fans discuss objective standards for measuring O’s tenure or mention the fact that other coaches are better than him. They care more about the coach than they do the program.

You honestly can't wrap your head around keeping a coach that just won a fiesta bowl, went 10&3, finished #6, with a top 3 recruiting class and with an epic class coming in next?

They're fans of the coach, not the program. They've invested so much of their online personas into being fans of this particular guy, and now they think Woodward threatens that.

Yes. But it's hard to get rid of a coach that wins 10 games.

So, have you looked at Jimbo’s results for the past 10 years because other than the early 3 years ( 1 with Manuel and 2 with Winston) his record would not be up to your expectations. And those 3 years were at FSU before he turned them into a dumpster fire so be careful what you wish for.
