My hometown isn't dying. Just the opposite. Unfortunately this makes it entirely too attractive to the hipster locust swarm.

This is the conundrum in Texas. I see some of the crap in Austin heading toward San Antonio. I see those loft apartments rising on Broadway.

If your city is too good, it becomes a haven for the tech world, liberals, and everything else that makes the cost of living.

Why can’t they just gobble up real estate in places like Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Toledo and revive those places? It would actually do the country a lot more good than continuing to destroy what’s left of San Francisco’s charm.

NAL isn't cool enough yet to attract many hipsters. They all live in Birmingham.
