None of us know anything concrete. But the wood in the structure was hundreds of years old. Fire could spread as quickly as it used to spread in old plantation houses.
I agree that we know nothing concrete, but the rest of your post is a non sequitur, imo. The wood may be as old as the wood of a 100 year old plantation, but the construction practices are not 100 years old, nor are the means of extinguishing a fire.

You have no fricking idea what started this fire.
Idiots on this board. Jesus.

Hey, I'm not one of the ones speculating here either way. I'm not seeing people do so and taking it as a personal affront either, though.

Btw, another Occam’s razor... Wouldn’t someone go ahead and claim responsibility for this as they do with almost every other attack?

Can you point out some of these "hate screeds" you see?

Yeah, kind of like when the leftists implore all of us not to judge all muslims when one of them does what they do, but yet jump all over every opportunity to demonize white people worldwide when white leftists shoot up mosques.
Shove your indignation right up your leftist arse.

Fire breaks are now required by code to slow the spread of a fire. They weren’t thought of 700 years ago.

And just like that a conspiracy is born.
Just make a statement that no one can disprove and voila!
How is that??
I didn't make a statement, I asked a question.
Do you understand the difference?
* again..I'm not stating that you don't, I asking if you do.*

Ok fine. It was a question
So ask a question that no one can answer -same result. conspiracy.
Remember. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Else - Occams Razor.

Yes it's a cover up for sure.
Trying to use electrical for a burning building is ludicrous.
Like that type of thing would ever happen in real life lol.

You missed my point.
I was referring to the construction company protocols for working in environments like that and the heightened safety protocols in such a historic building.

You want it to be Muslims so bad.
Posted on 4/15/19 at 3:06 pm to NPComb
To the left, it's honorable to lie. They would believe covering it up was the moral thing to do, because people might judge Muslims if the facts indicated one started the fire.

No..nothing like that.
Asking a question that goes to plausibility is not the type of question that can be answered yes or no.

A lot of times copper pipes are sweated in interior walls. If you are not extremely careful a small ember will smolder for hours and eventually catch.
0% chance they used anything except compression fittings (like shark bite) on copper pipe in interior surfaces. I cant even begin to imagine the fire mitigation policies and procedures a place like this must have for workers of any kind. I bet they even make them thread pipe outside and ground any and all scaffolding and such to prevent unwanted arcing. Hell even oily rags, such that they are used, I'm sure are meant for metal containers with seal-able lids (you plant baws know what I'm talking about) If they didn't and they were stupid enough to have open flames inside this place in sensitive areas then my goodness.
