I don't give a shite that he's changing the lineup to try things and this and that.
When you play something, you play to win, and from the coach to the players, they don't seem to care about that.
I get mad when i lose at the stupid game of Trouble with my kids. Does anyone on the team give a shite that the lost last night? To say it doesn't matter is in insult to the game. If you're going to suit up, give it your all and play to win. If you're going to treat it like a practice, then just have practice instead.

all of this...well said.

Learn what? That midweek games DO count in the rankings at the end of the year? Yes they do.

During the 2017 season LSU went 0-6 vs.:
UNO (0-2)
Tulane (0-2)
McNeese (0-1)
USA (0-1)

...before going on the play in the CWS championship series.

We went 21-9 in conference so it didn't matter in 2017.(39-17)

Change our conference record to 15-15 or 16-14 and see what value those 6 losses have. Might be the deal breaker between us and another team from hosting a regional.

There were 850 total in the park, most of the LSU fans were either parents or girlfriends. I saw maybe less than 10 people there that weren’t related to or sig other of a player from LSU.

About 800 of them were Jaguar fans. My whole point.

Has nothing to do with HOW you play in a regional, or super or the CWS. But it does factor into the SEEDINGS for national seeds and who you are matched with.
You can still win it all, just is more difficult.
I watch 50+ LSU games per year for the past 30+ years and understand how rankings and seedings are done. I used the wrong term earlier. Poll "rankings" are influenced by mid-week losses but dont have much if anything to do with SEEDINGS now.
