Getting ready to put in an outdoor kitchen/built in grills. I have a 9’ space to built a straight counter.

I have an XL BGE to our in it and want to add a small natural gas grill, in the 25-30” range.

What kind of grills do you baws have, what should I be looking for in a grill and what’s the best place to buy.

Looking on BBQ guys the Bull 3 Burner built in looks like itd work perfect.

If I have the space I’d like to but in a single burner was well next to the grill.

I’ve had a Bull 5 burner for 6 years now. I love it. Have not had to replace anything at all and does a great job.

I have a 4 burner bull that’s been great for 4 years. Only thing I’ve had to replace was the burners, but they were under warranty and all I had to do was send pictures of the old ones and they sent me 4 new ones.

ETA: Goodwood hardware

I went with Blaze equipment in my outdoor setup. Several of my neighbors did as well. Oldest is only around 2 years old but they’ve held up fine so far.

WHODAT514,
How tall are your ceilings and do you have an issue with smoke from grilling under there?

I finished my house and back patio about 6 months ago. I had a 13’ length to fill so I went with a sink, 42” Lynx grill and a Lynx side burner. The under counter drawers/cabinets are Blaze. I bought everything at Shopper’s Choice in BR. I designed the layout myself, probably tried a dozen different configurations, but I’m happy with the way it came out.

they are 10', and I usually have a small fan blowing the smoke out, its not an issue usually even using the primo. I do plan on installing a fan in the upper corner and blowing smoke out that way.

slinger..

is there a reason the grill is so close to the brick? I followed the instructions on design and it said to leave a 6-8" space between that back and the grill. I've seen where it turns bricks and hardy black from the smoke.

There is actually about 6 inches between the brick and the back of the grill. It needs 4" clearance to open the hood and then 2 additional inches for spacing. I guess the camera angle makes it look tighter. Never read anything about blackening the brick, but I can see how that could happen. I usually run the ceiling fan overhead when I'm grilling.

I typically spec Bull for all my outdoor grills. But there is a poster on TD that sells all brands of grills and recommended best bang for buck, warranty, and guts was Lion Premium grills.

***just throwing that out there. They do get great reviews.

In the BR area? Who are you using to build the kitchen? I have my components picked out, I need to locate a contractor to build mine.

Im DFW.

Im about to pull the trigger on a Blaze 25" 3 burner natural gas built in grill, 39" drawer/door combo unit and a Blaze single NG side burner.

If anyone has any of those pieces, let me know how you like them.

Blaze makes good equipment. I have the 4 burner grill and double side burner, and several doors/drawers. If the single burner is the power burner, that’s probably better than the regular burners.

Its just a single standard burner.....12,000 BTU

$299

I think itll get the job done. I wont do much with it out there other than saute veggies and such probably.

Its one of those better to have it and not need it type of things.
