Y’all need to learn to pick your battles.
Is the bump stock battle really where you want to dig a trench?
Honestly, there are many more bigger issues looming with regards to 2nd Amendment.

Everything should be a battle. Our Second Amendment rights need to be restricted less, not more. I don't give a frick how many people use something or how big of a deal Floating Change Up thinks bump stocks are.

Okay then, what currently regulated/banned aspects of the Second Amendment rights are Trump and the GOP working to get back?

Where's the evidence that "giving in" on something that may seem insignificant appeases those who want to push further to back off on their further desires to limit individual freedoms even a little bit? Is there some sort of precedent you can point to that says this may be a reasonable strategy?

Unfortunately - in today’s environment - yes. Bump stocks are silly and only good for momentary thrill of pretending to have a machine gun or for shooting into masses of unaware people.
I have no desire for either of those. BUT - the tactic of the DEMOCRATS is to get the nose of the camel under the tent so they can leverage that concession into larger capitulation.
Example - Roe v Wade escalated from “rare and safe procedure to save the life of the mother” into planned infanticide funded by taxpayers.
So NO - no compromise on guaranteed rights until the DEMOCRAT party rejoins the ranks of moral and responsible citizens.

Had they not passed the bill, this would have all been forgotten by now and another bit of freedom wouldn't have been flushed away.
