Looking for the best android phone under $300

A good camera is especially important to me. I has a Note 8, and loved it, but it was a work phone and had to give it up when I changed jobs. Thoughts?

What network? What are you generally taking pictures of? Most phones have pretty good cameras these days, but low light, sports, etc applications can make things more questionable.

Network is AT&T. The note 8 had a fantastic camera, so I'm looking for something comparable.

Find something on swappa. You probably won't find a note 8 for 300 but you could probably get an S8+ for close to that.

Pixel 2 XL will trump anything else out there for the price point of 300-400 bucks. Best camera and monthly security updates, plus the most current up to date pure android OS. Free unlimited cloud storage for photos.

Yea if you can get a Pixel XL 2 for $400 or less thats likely the best route to go.

Starting with the Nexus 6p/5x, Google really put more attention to their camera software. Can't go wrong with the Pixel 2 if Camera is what matters to you.
Having said that, there are many tutorials out there on how to use the pixel camera software on non-pixel phones. I never tried it because I don't give two shits about the camera. So YMMV...
(Also, if you're spending 300, then why not spend the extra 250 and get a top of the line OnePlus 6T????)

I love my old 6P
You can get a 5T for less than 300 on swappa right now or a 6 for a little over 300.

Would second what many here have said, which is a used phone may be your best bet if it's in good condition.
Pixel 2XL or the 5/6T from One Plus are both great phones... shop around and see what you can find.
If you only want to look at new, probably the best new Android phone at that price point is the Moto G7 if I had to pick one... The Nokia 7.1 is another option in this "range", but I think it's a little over 300... If you're going over 300, I'd likely go with the used options above personally.

The Essential Phone goes on sale on Amazon quite often. Not sure if you can get a new one for under $300, but there are several mint phones on swappa for that price.
The camera is very good, but not as good as pixel or samsung.

look at prepaid phones. They usually are priced very aggressively.

An essential for 300 or less would be a good phone.

I'll send you my S8 for $225 if you know how to unlock it. Currently has a Verizon SIM.

I believe all Verizon phones come unlocked automatically.

I know my dad couldn't bring it to Straight Talk due to it being Verizon. Not sure how it works.

You can get a LG V35 brand new on Ebay for $300. I've personally had great luck buying phones from ebay. i'm probably on my 4th one.
